Kimmy Visits

My roommate from college, Kim, came down from California to visit. It was so great to see her, plus I was able to have an excuse to do all the things I have wanted to do.

We started out by taking the DART into Dallas to visit Swirll winery, but we got there before it opened so we stopped in NM. They were having this big display of old costumes and Kim and I took the time to look around. They have a recreation from Gone with the Wind. That dress was very cool. We went to the winery, ate and just had a good time.

The next day we traveled around and found Thanksgiving square in Dallas. I knew nothing about this place but it is where you are suppose to go and give thanks for the things you have. IT was interesting and ended with thanks to God while standing in the big Golden ring. It was allot of fun and had a cool mural on the wall.

We shopped and meet with a friend of Kim's and then went to the Galleria to go ice skating. Kim had never skated before so I tried to help teach her how and ended up teaching about 4 people how. Which was funny when you think about it because I mostly roller bladed and did not ice skate but maybe 3 times before that. It was allot of fun though.

Then the last day we went to a day spa and got pampered and then went on the museum circuit. We went to the Nashure Sculpture Garden and it was perfect weather to be outside. The garden was beautiful and I enjoyed walking around the garden.

Then we walked around a little bit and enjoyed the day. Then we took some time to play outside of the Asian Art exhibit.

Finally on Thursday Nights the Dallas Museum of Art id free and open late. They have a live band and dinner at the museum. Kim and I went and enjoyed the music. There was a very cool exhibit of a painter that did Blue Bonnets ~~ that was coo. But it was just nice to hear the music while we looked at the art. All in all a very fun visit.
