Here we go again . . .
Okay well things have been crazy around here and I have been up to allot. So let me see if I can do a quick run down . . .
First I finally got back to Oklahoma to see my friend of 11 years who lives in Oklahoma. It was a strange experience because when we meet I held her little son in my arms and now he is 11 years old. I can not believe it. Anyway I went down the weekend of his birthday and so they had a swimming party.
Here little daughter Alissa wanted to jump off the diving board but did not want to have to jump herself, so I got to throw her off the board and into the water.
Another fun thing to do for Alex (Chrissy's son) and his friends was to chase me around the pool and try to drown me. I guess I just attract the best kind of men :O) But what can I say kids love me.
Then we had the party in a park nearby. Alex got a Wii so we spent time playing with it. I thought they did boxing quite well and Chrissy and Justin had allot of fun with it. I think all problems in marriage could be better worked out with some Wii boxing :O) It was great to see them again. That night Chrissy and I hide in her room, since the party was a sleep over and watched movies and drank some wine. It was just all around fun!
The next thing to happen was Kane's 29th birthday. I gave him one present a day that whole week. He got a new radio controlled airplane, transformers, Star wars DVD's and a tee shirt. Anyway then we had the party at my mom's house.
The boys , as always, enjoyed helping Kane to open his presents. They loved this card I got Kane where the sounds it makes are cats meowing Happy Birthday ~~ I thought it quite perfect.
I made Kane a pie for his birthday that he likes. So I worked really hard this birthday because I made him his cake from scratch. Overall we all had fun and Kane is now officially 29 years old.
Then I took a trip out to California to see my college roommate Kim and to return her cat. My mom had been watching her cat and now he got to fly home to California. Traveling with a cat was quite an experience. First I had to take the cat out of the cat carrier to get through security. Luckily for me he did not make a break for it. But the plane trip was not bad ~~ everyone was interesting on making sure the cat was doing okay. But we both made it just fine.
So the first day I was there I spent at the Glen Ivy spa. This was wonderful I got a body wrap and massage. They also have all these different pool at the spa. The big thing to do there is they have a mud bath ~~ that was allot of fun as you can see. I spent the day swimming, getting massage, enjoying a mud bath and just having allot of fun.
Then of course we hit the beach. I thought this view was quite wonderful ~~ I do not want to know how much it cost to live in that house, but what an incredible view.
We went to farmers markets, an annual craft fair (where I found so great stuff), open air mall, restaurants. Lots of things but I did not really do the tourist thing ~~ I wanted to relax and I had allot of fun with that. Oh yes I got my haircut ~~ I think it looks very nice. Though I am sure it will look like that again.
It was a wonderful long weekend and I loved the climate. 94 as a high and no humidity was wonderful. There is nothing better then watching the sunset over the beach. I will miss that allot. But it was a wonderful trip :O)
