Okay here is a quick update about what I have been doing, what is going on with the house, and all that good stuff . . .
Well here are the boys standing next to the big hole in the wall. Yes it seems the house has backtracked a little bit, but really they are just moving up the window :O) I should have more pictures of the house tomorrow.
John Mullen turned 37 on Monday!! Seeing as that day was the first day of school and a work day ~~ we celebrated on Sunday!! See the big card?? I hand made that and gave it to John to carry around for all of church and as a table decoration at Golden corral. Then we went to mom’s house and opened presents. Well present, but that big box you see is really just a DVD!!!! I wrapped it in . . . 5 other boxes!! Lots of fun :O) we ate cake and had a merry OLD time.
OHHHH . . . did a fail to mention to everyone about the new born baby ~~ well . . . you see . . . He is very cute huh??
8lbs, 21 inches long, and 14.5 head circumference ~~
I am very happy about this little addition ...................... to my friend Chris's family!! Kane and went to see the little baby boy, Connor!! Kane loves babies!! Isn't he cute??
Well it has been amazing for me to see how much work has happened on mom's yard in the last week. I mean it went from the slopped nothingness of a yard to . . . . well something that I think looks really cool. Kane and I have been over there almost every night to make sure everything is going the way it supposed to. So this last Tuesday I got to go stone shopping with Kane.
Yes I got to wonder around this sea of stone trying to find the perfect ones. When you are talking about 1000 pound to 1500 pound boulders ~~ well they are hard to move around and fins all the angles for. But after 3 hours we finally picked out 8 for mom's yard. Though I totally forgot about the whole sun thing ~~ So Kane and I are now . . Sun kissed (sun smacked is more like it).
I have been trying to help mom out with the boys and Alyssa as much as possible. Oh and for those of you wondering what is going on with my house ~~ well ~~ we are waiting for it to be inspected so they can put up the sheet rock ~~ Then they think it will be two months from that point till the house is finished. This is exciting and very scary all at the same time.
Anyway I thought I would try and get a picture of all three kids together ~~ it took allot of work , but . . . .
I think they look really cute. Anyway life keeps moving very quickly and I am still in shock at the thought that August is starting to wrap up. Where did the summer go??
Grandpa and Kyle are playing tickle monster ~~ so much fun!!
CJ holds his sister and makes her do karate moves.
Alyssa is very intrested in her bouncy chair.
Mom's wall goes up in the backyard and the boys were the supervisors. They quality checked the sand and the workmenship.
Well work started on my mom'd yard. The kids found it so facinating to see the men digging up the yard. One of the men was wearing a cowboy hat and so the boys were very excited about the cowboy!! So holes were dug, cement was poured, and the tree was moved!!
While Kyle was at karate, CJ and Alyssa played a little bit!!
CJ wanted the hold the baby and pplay. But he moved pretty fast to having grandpa hold the baby so we could play :O)
Mom bought a fishing kit for the boys to play with in the bath tub. Kane taught the boys how to fish and they had allot of fun with it.
Well this Tuesday Kane, Shawn, Carmen, and I all went to Fort Worth to see the Star Wars exhibit!! Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination explores the fantasy technologies in the Star Wars films, the science behind them, and current research that may lead to real-life versions of these technologies(or so the press release says).
Kane and Shawn where very excited. So we got the Fort Worth Museum where we had to wait in line to buy tickets. It was not too bad though and we got our tickets just in time to run down the hall and get admitted to the exhibit.

They had full size replicas of some of the vehicles in the movies. Lots of Costumes, ships, and weapons. Besides the movie stuff they had the science that we had now to work toward what they had created in the movies. It was pretty interesting :O) Kane could probably tell you more about it then I could as I am not really that up to date on my star wars stuff. But they did have some cool interactive games and such to play with to keep the kids entertained. We made our own speeders out of legos and had magnets on them to help them hover. They had all sorts of fun interactive stuff. Also there was this one were you build a spaceport, moisture farm community and walled Jawa town. Placing cards on a table - the physical landscape - a computer superimposes a building on a site in virtual reality and real time. It was allot of fun because the computer scored you on your placement of things to see if you could make the things viable. There were also stations to build robots, play with virtual robot faces, and to see what it would be like to have technology enhanced body parts.

As you can see this was a pretty cool mural on one of the walls. Anyway I stayed in the exhibit about 3 hours before I had to leave to eat. I had to almost drag Kane out but he survived the separation with no permanent damage.

They had quite the cool gift shop. As you can see here Yoda and I are just hanging out ~~ I thought it was a cool little backpack. It was a fun afternoon to just get away from the real world for awhile.
Well Kane turned 28 on Thursday ~~ we had a Transformers party which Kyle and CJ thought was the coolest thing ever!!! They loved it and had allot of fun with their Uncle. Due to Kane's dislike of cake I went out and ordered him an ice cream cake. Now I had a very large thick cake in mind, but . . . . .
well it was smaller then I expected. But the cake looked better and had more writing on it BEFORE Jennifer picked it up ~~ Some how Jennifer bobbled the cake and some last minute changes had to be made :O) But we love her anyway (oh and the cake tasted GREAT!!!)
To top the evening off Kane flew is old plane and the new transformer plane I got him for the boys !! They chased, screamed , and laughed until they were exhuasted. So Kane made it through another year and he is still alive!!
Well Kane's mother, sister, and his sister's husband came to visit on Friday. We went to the aquarium and saw the new house. They got the electric in the house, but Kane is not happy because they wired it wrong so we are going to have to have them go back and fix it. But then again so goes the building of a house :O) Other then that just been keeping busy with work and such!!
