Well Kane and I have been working hard to finish up the backyard for my mom. So when it started to rain ~~ Kane felt that lighting was not a deterrent to keep form seeing how the river was running. So here he is out in the rain ~~ and being the great wife that I am ~~ I took pictures and caught these two on a lightning flash :O)
Well my mom went off on another weekend to Arkansas ~~ so I watched the kidos.
Here is Alyssa and Scout playing together ~~ I thought it was quite funny to see that cat get into everything, but it kept Alyssa entertained so that is all that matters.
Kyle was very excited to see the truck full of dirt. He really really wanted to help ~~ mostly he just wanted to get into the dirt, but who am I to argue with someone who wants to help out?? Then of course since Kyle did it, CJ had to join in.
My friend Carlen brought her kids over and we had a day out with the kids ~~ there was playing at my mom's, playing at my house, playing at Chick Fila, playing on the play ground and playing at my mom's house again. Quite the busy day ~~ Here are Caleb and Kyle playing on the play ground.
Here are Paul and CJ the 2 trouble makers playing together at the Chick Fila playground.
Lily and Alyssa had fun staring at each other and being held by everyone ~~ boys want to run in the dirt, girls want to be held ~~ what are you going to do??
The other fun thing to do was to take my camera phone and take pictures. CJ had allot of fun doing this and I have great pictures of his shoes and some rocks. He filled up my memory card 4 times :O)
Then of course when Kyle saw him taking pictures he had to as well ~~ though at least I got pictures of people or at least parts of people :O) But hey that is half the fun!!
All in all we had allot of fun and playing a whole lot!! I do so love being an Aunt :O)
My roommate from college, Kim, came down from California to visit. It was so great to see her, plus I was able to have an excuse to do all the things I have wanted to do.
We started out by taking the DART into Dallas to visit Swirll winery, but we got there before it opened so we stopped in NM. They were having this big display of old costumes and Kim and I took the time to look around. They have a recreation from Gone with the Wind. That dress was very cool. We went to the winery, ate and just had a good time.
The next day we traveled around and found Thanksgiving square in Dallas. I knew nothing about this place but it is where you are suppose to go and give thanks for the things you have. IT was interesting and ended with thanks to God while standing in the big Golden ring. It was allot of fun and had a cool mural on the wall.
We shopped and meet with a friend of Kim's and then went to the Galleria to go ice skating. Kim had never skated before so I tried to help teach her how and ended up teaching about 4 people how. Which was funny when you think about it because I mostly roller bladed and did not ice skate but maybe 3 times before that. It was allot of fun though.
Then the last day we went to a day spa and got pampered and then went on the museum circuit. We went to the Nashure Sculpture Garden and it was perfect weather to be outside. The garden was beautiful and I enjoyed walking around the garden.
Then we walked around a little bit and enjoyed the day. Then we took some time to play outside of the Asian Art exhibit.
Finally on Thursday Nights the Dallas Museum of Art id free and open late. They have a live band and dinner at the museum. Kim and I went and enjoyed the music. There was a very cool exhibit of a painter that did Blue Bonnets ~~ that was coo. But it was just nice to hear the music while we looked at the art. All in all a very fun visit.
Well on Laura's spring break I was able to be off of work so I could go with then to visit Grandma Smith. I got the joy of 7 hours of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I still have the song stuck in my head.
It was great to see Grandma again ~~ she of course LOVED seeing everyone. Also she got to enjoy the happiness that is Alyssa.
The boys had allot of fun playing with everyone even their Mom. It is always fun to pile on top of your mother :O)
Of course one of the main highlights was getting to feed the squirrels ~~ Kyle enjoyed putting out the food and CJ enjoyed trying to talk loud enough to scare the squirrel away.
We did allot of playing outside. The boys and I went on adventures everyday exploring the neighborhood and fighting the shredder (a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle thing) along the way. Laura got them bouncing balls, which as you can see Kyle knew just how the use.
CJ helped to entertain his sister by singing and being silly.
We took the boy to McDonalds and while they played on the playground (I occasionally got called up into the tube system to play) the girls all tried on the princess crown. It was decided, in the end, that it looked best on Alyssa.
Here is a picture of me that Kyle took on one of the adventures ~~ the only picture of me that I have. Kyle and I also had allot of fun playing out in the rain. CJ watched us run and splash ~~ Laura let us play for a little bit but then made us come in out of the rain ~~ what a spoil sport.
On the way home we visited Sarah and the new baby.
The boys had fun playing with Emma and Rachael ~~ they laughed, made a mess, and had lots of fun.
Here is a picture of Little Owen ~~ the only picture I had with his eyes open.
I just thought this was a cute picture seeing as we spent allot of time in various playgrounds on this trip. Overall it was allot of fun and great to see everyone.
Things have been quite crazy so here are the pictures from CJ's birthday all the way from March 15th.
Well Cj had a scooby Doo party ~~ so here he is with his mystery machine and ears. The night before I had set up a little ghoast hunt for the boys to do in the morning.
Everyone got into the spirit of the party ~~ Laura is looking quite cute.
We also had full face masks to wear if we choose to ~~ here is kyle in his.
Dad wore this nose through out most the party ~~ which was a record because no one else could stand it that long.
Well CJ took 3 blows to get his candles out, but enjoyed eating the frosting off his cake.
After all the gift opening was done ~~ here are Jennifer and Rene tring to figure out how to transform the transformers that are supposed to be for ages 5 and up. Well I do not know about the 5 year old part ~~ but the up part took about 30 minutes and lots of help :O) All in all a fun birthday for CJ!
