Second Week of Preschool/ CJ is 18 Months

Kyle seems to be adjusting to going to school and Cubbies. He earned his Cubbie Jumper Rank Patch which mom will proudly safety pin to his uniform until Grandma can get down to sew it on beautifully. :-) He is doing really well memorizing his verses each week and can sing the cubbie song.

In preschool, Kyle talks about two boys that he runs around with although he doesn't know their names. I guess names aren't important in preschool. Anyway, together they have found bugs in their homes and "gotten rid of them", they run around the playground until they get hot and they laugh and laugh. According to Kyle today they yelled into pots. Not sure what that means but he demonstrated it in the car. I think he is having fun.

CJ is officially 18 months old --- and getting three molars all at once --- which consequently is making him slightly GRUMPY. He thinks he is three and tries to do everything Kyle does. He is falling in love with trains just like Kyle and loves to run them around. He entertained himself at IHOP (where we went for Debbie's birthday) for almost an hour with two trains and a basket. He concentrates and gets serious when he is thinking something through but he has a low frustration level. If something doesn't work out the way he wants it to work out, he throws it. Guess we will have to work on patience and anger management in the future.

CJ has no fear -- he will tackle playground equipment and new situations with a vigor for life and a total unconcern for his personal safety. Have to watch him every minute. His sunday school teacher says she has to watch the door because CJ knows how to open the lever type door handles and he doesn't mind escaping into the hall.

Glad Kyle seems to be socializing well, CJ will be quite troublesome won't he? Good luck with his grumpiness.

So it looks like life imitates life. As I remember the first child in our family was a tentative but neat child and the second had no fear and was prone to mood swings.
That means watch out for baby number three!!!!!

Precious pictures of CJ! Loved reading about the boys and their current activities. Brings back memories . . . and wondering what my two grandsons were doing at ages 18 months and 3 1/2. I didn't know them until they were 3 and 5 (going on 4 and 6). They are both so different now.
