or as Kyle calls it "tootle" (his personal choo choo train powered by daddy). When dad gets home from work, Kyle and dad bike around the neighborhood. When CJ can sit up...he will join the ride!

We have been in a time warp --- trapped while waiting a week and a half for broken parts to be fixed, new ones to be put in and dealing with warranties. We told the Frymire people that an air conditioner shouldn't completely fall apart after two years. They agreed relunctantly and replaced it, but not without a lot of screaming on John's part. They had to bring us two separate units because of parts breaking and then the temperature control had to be replaced twice as well for broken parts. Doesn't leave a feeling of reliability for us. We wonder when this one will break! At least for now we have cool air!
Last night CJ slept 10 hours straight!!!! Mom woke up at 7 am wondering if she slept through a little boy's crying but when she went upstairs he was only beginning to stir!
We are on our third day of bottles....the Gerber NUK was the magic nipple for this little boy. He took one ounce of formula with four ounces of breastmilk today! Tomorrow we go to two ounces, then three ounces, then four and then phase out momma milk all together. Two weeks till Mom goes back to school! We can do this!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS ARE WE IN FOR IT! This is CJ's face as he got his first bottle of formula which was followed by a LOUD INCONSOLABLE SCREAMING!!!!!!!! Needless to say our first bottle of formula did not go well at all. Mom tried two different types of bottles and nipples and CJ would have nothing to do with it. He screamed himself asleep at one point. This now exhausted mom is trying to figure out how to nurse a child and teach school at the same time.....will he ever wean?????????????????????????????????????????????
I think that Kyle is getting better at the big Brother job. We went to the grocery store (Albertsons) and they have those car grocery carts that seat two kids. Well....Kyle climbed into a big green one and then scooted over to one seat. He patted the seat next to him and said "baby here...mama put baby here". So, I set CJ next to him in the seat (Holding CJ upright as it wasn't made for a 3 1/2 month old). Kyle smiled really big and preceded to show CJ how to drive the car. He wanted CJ to put his hands on the wheel and tried to show him how. I told him he was a great big brother and he smiled really big and got that expression that I interpret as "I am cute and I know it". I let him have a lollipop and took CJ out of the car and we went on our way around the store.
Kyle knows the Awana colors --- red, green, blue, yellow, his major body parts --- tummy, back, toes, feet, legs, hiney (or butt), hands, fingers, head, eyes, ears, mouth and nose, and can count to 10. He is learning in leaps and bounds!
