I meant to post this earlier (on the 15th) ---- CJ is 8 months old and getting bigger. He weighs 27 lbs and is 29 inches tall.
Kyle decided he needed to take pictures too --- that Mommy and Daddy didn't need exclusive control of the technology in THIS house. He grabbed the camera and started snapping away. Here is his "composition" on Daddy. Kyle is titling this picture "Daddy bends down to take away the camera but instead I get his picture and doesn't he look good!"
In the tradition of our boys doing things in their own time and their own way --- John's genes or mine????? --- CJ has begun crawling, marine style, BACKWARDS. As Great Grandma Connally says, "He is stuck in reverse". CJ will scoot his way out of the room propelling himself backwards with his legs and arms. I can't even figure out how he does it exactly.
He is also getting his third tooth .... ON THE BOTTOM! Instead of two teeth on the bottom and then working on the upper teeth, CJ's decided to get three on the bottom first, maybe four...who knows?
Kyle is talking up a storm and while every now and then he intersperses Kyle speak with English, he carries on a pretty good conversation. He has learned the joy of talking on the phone and likes to call Daddy up at work and carry on conversations about a multitude of topics ranging from potty time to cars to trains.
Kyle is still engrossed with everything train --- he will pull out his other toys on occasion but for the most part it is Thomas Thomas Thomas and Tootle Tootle Tootle. "STAY ON THE TRACKS" --- Kyle's motto for life --- very deep and philosophical I might add.
John and I are worn out --- these boys keep us running but we are slowly finding time to do our things too.
CJ likes to wear his food....tastes better that way...more of an epicurean experience.
Kyle tried on the mickey mouse costume convinced it would still fit him. :-)
Okay so some of it is CJ's and Mom and Dad will, of course, check for "poison" but this is Kyle's first "genuine" trick or treat-carnival haul for halloween! Makes you proud, doesn't it?
Make sure that you arrow down to see the newly published pictures of trick or treating (a slideshow) and the pictures from the carnival that I finally got to work in a larger size.
As you can see...I tricked the computer into loading my pictures....just divided up the show. over 30 pics of the Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church's Family Fall Festival!
The Duck Pond, the Lollipop Pul and Finding buried treasure in the sand.
Pin the nose on the pumpkin (with daddy's help of course) and throwing food at a pig.
Fishing for a prize (candy and a veggie tale magnet!)
The Air Tunnel bounce house (not a favorite) and the Farmhouse throw.
Hockey, Football and Soccer....oh my!
Kyle LOVED going from door to door especially leading Mom, Dad and CJ up and down the sidewalk.
