Kyle went in today for his first visit to the dentist. He wasn't so sure about all the equipment and the moving chair and the light overhead. He wasn't secure enough without mom holding him in the chair but didn't cry or anything like that. He opened his mouth wide for the dentist to see his teeth and count them --- 20 to be exact. But once the dentist brought out the tools to clean his teeth he turned his back and burrowed into mom. He did let the dentist brush his teeth but he wasn't about to let the spinning brush or pick get anywhere near his mouth. Guess he's heard too many horror stories from uncles, aunts and parents!
We headed to Grapevine Texas on Sunday for Day out With Thomas. We rode in "Annie" (Kyle's choice) and went for our thirty minute ride. The conductor punched our tickets (like in Polar Express). Kyle held onto his ticket with an iron grip --- he didn't want to have to climb out of the train like in the movie.
Kyle jumped in a bounce house, played with Thomas trains, went through the store, visited the tatoo booth and generally had a GREAT time!)
Teachers do lots of things to inspire their students. In this case, my kids raised the most money (of all 12 middle schools) for "Keep Plano Beautiful" so I got to kiss the cow at Bob Woodruff Park on Saturday. One of my students snapped my picture and here it is. Yay me!
