Kyle did an incredible job tonight at the Spring Sing --- he sang all three songs and did all the handmotions with them. What a BIG boy!
After the Spring Sing...we had Open House and went to see Kyle's artwork in his classroom. His teacher says he has improved so much -- that he is overcoming his tactile aversion(not wanting sticky stuff like glue or paint on his fingers) and is also overcoming his social hestitations and she is very proud of him. We are too!
Kyle's kite flying high on the white cloud.
Kyle's sunflower on the wall with his picture in the center.
Here is a picture of Kyle's preschool class --- he is in the bottom right (not smiling). His friend Brady is on the highest pillar, his friend Emily is in a pink Paris shirt on a low pillar and his friend Cade is in a green striped polo shirt standing behind Emily.

CJ's birthday theme --- ELMO
Sometimes the best gifts are the boxes!
CJ knows CAKE...one of his new words even.
Uncle Jonathan and Kyle built sand towers in the backyard...Kyle told Uncle Jonathan exactly how many and where they needed to go.

It appears that John conspired with my mom to set up a hair appointment here in Tulsa. This is the result...lighter, shorter, styled hair for Laura. :-) Aren't I pretty?
A light mist but that didn't keep the boys from playing outside. CJ explored the pond --- climbed on the rocks from all angles and tried to figure out what the green stuff was in the water.

Kyle played with grandma's tools. He told us he was going to plant seeds. I asked him what kind and he told me that they would be good ones. :-)

Today we went out shopping but stopped first to get Grandma's license renewed. She got her picture taken, got her fingerprints scanned and then broke the machine. The computers went down for half an hour. The boys meanwhile, ran all through the tag agency, managed to fiangle suckers from one of the ladies and caused general mayhem and madness.
After that fun, we went to Walmart and grocery shopped. Kyle and CJ tried out the bikes in the bike section and perused the toy section for "deals". Kyle ended up with sandtoys in a white basket and CJ ended up with a blue rubber ducky. :-)
CJ's vocabulary keeps getting larger. Today, when I had the camera out to take pictures of big brother for his cubbie book, CJ kept smiling and saying "cheee" "cheee" (cheese). Very cute. Here is a picture of CJ saying "chee"

Here is Kyle eating his "loaves and fishes" for his Cubbie Project for this week. Mom didn't dare actually try REAL fish so we had fishy crackers and mini cookies.....I know...healthy stuff!

Tremmel Electrics installed house lights outside our garage --- here is the special switch for our garage. The switch on the right is to our garage and the switch on the left is to the lights --- we can either put them on timer or turn them on and off ourselves. It runs off the electricity in our house so just exactly what John and I wanted.

Okay, so that may not be exciting to people who haven't saved for a couple of months to pay an electrician to do this....so, here are the lights, they are pretty.

We headed to Tulsa after preschool and packing and dropping off Mel at Debbie's. We had to take the rental car but it worked ... not as easily as our real car --- DVD system isn't as user friendly but a thousand times better than not having it at all!
Kyle and Mommy had to see the doctor today. Kyle had his 4 year check up --- a bit tramatic because he didn't want a shot and was worried about it the whole time. When the nurse was in the room, he cried and was quite uncooperative but once the doctor came in --- a nice blonde lady, he was charming and shared all his knowledge about trains and numbers and life. :-)
Kyle is 37.5 pounds and 40 3/4 inches tall which puts him still in the 70th percentile for height and weight. The doctor checked his ears and found an ear infection, while she was at it, she checked CJ too and he also has an ear infection. Double doses of antiobiotics for the next 10 days. Kyle ended up with four shots which he has claimed keeps him from being able to walk and that he needs green ice cream to fix it.
Here is Kyle waiting in the doctor's office for his shots.
Here is Kyle with the doctor -- Amber Harris. She is actually a Nurse Practioner but she is very good. She listened to Kyle tell the entire plot of Polar Express and even knew all the Thomas trains by name. She is listening to his heart -- Kyle showed her where his is (his tummy). :-) Kyle is very knowledgable about these things!
Not to be left out, CJ played with the chairs in the office, redistributing them for proper feng sui and had to take advantage of the free stickers and suckers!
We miss Daddy! Wish you were here! Enjoy Chicago!
Kyle is enjoying his new "Harley" --- a bday present from mom and dad.
CJ, of course, is also happy because he finally gets to ride brother's old bike without brother getting upset!
Despite the accident --- see below --- Kyle had a GREAT birthday. We started at Planet Pizza where Kyle rode the rides, played on the playground in the tubes and slides, played the video games and ate pizza. Then we went back to our house for a TRUCK party.

A senior in high school wasn't paying complete attention to the road and slammed into our ...sigh...new...van as we were coming back from Planet Pizza to continue Kyle's birthday. She didn't see us put on our brakes to avoid the stopped cars in front of us and hit us square on. Grandma was in the backseat and got splashed in dr.pepper and sprite when all the drink cups when flying backwards. All of us were jerked in our seats. Her car was totalled and ours sustained some damage to the back end. Now, it is up to her insurance company so I hope we can get it fixed soon.
Here is John talking to the police officer.
Here is her car and her walking towards her mom's SUV.
Kyle and CJ were both upset at the accident and cried when the firemen tried to take their blood pressure and check them out. Their seatbelts/car seats kept them in place and they were not hurt but they didn't understand what was happening. We are taking Kyle and CJ to the fire station monday to see the firemen and firetrucks when it is less scary.
