So far, none in the little potty -- we miss it and hit the floor but mom counts it as progress. CJ says "peepee" and we run. :-)
We had to take CJ to the doctor this morning --- pink eye in both eyes. He let blonde, thin, beautiful Dr. Amber Jones rub the goop out of his eyes and Kyle talked to her a mile a minute --- like father like sons!
Then we came home to clean house. Kyle helped by cleaning windows. I KNOW they are clean because he used half a bottle of windex on two windows. Those are some CLEAN windows!
CJ helped by alternatively picking up and throwing toys on the floor. He even picked himself up and stored himself in the toy bin :-)
We traded in the Honda Accord for a bright shiny new Dodge Truck 1500 extended cab! Yay! John and his new truck. The boys approve!
Radio Disney and State Farm sponsored a small show in Dallas today where you could walk up to and look at lifesize versions of the three main characters from Cars: Lightening McQueen, Sally and Mater.
Kyle and CJ were a little scared at first at seeing their movie fav's in life size but after awhile, CJ was smiling and waving at them (while clinging closely to mom for comfort). CJ even said Hi to Mack the Truck (the Semi that hauled the cars there).
Mater (from Tow Mater -- get it? he is a tow truck :-)

Mack the Truck (although he didn't have eyes like the others, CJ and Kyle were sure he was the character from the movie).
For a change of pace, we decided to go with Daddy to work today so that Kyle and CJ could ride the Dart Rail from Parker Road station to Mockingbird (about a 25 minute ride) and back. We stopped off to see daddy's office too (Kyle and CJ liked the golf balls and putting tee in the corner and the fact that Daddy has two fridges in his office).
The boys LOVED the train ride --- CJ was a little nervous at first but warmed up to it. Kyle talked excitedly the entire time. Oohing and Ahhing over the stations and pretending it was the Polar Express.
Utter destruction...sounds like fun. Mom and Dad leave the room spotless...all the clothes in the drawers, diapers stacked neatly in their place, all the wipes fresh in their box, balls in the wicker basket in the closet, stuffed animals safely on top of the chest o'drawers...nice and neat like mommy likes it....soooo.... when brother crashes, CJ attacks. After his fun romp by the light of the moon, he hustles to bed --- with wicker basket for company and goes off to angellic sleep. Mom and Dad come upstairs and find his masterpiece --- modern art via Christopher James.

Well CJ fell off the slide and scraped his forehead today. We were having a lot of fun playing in the playroom upstairs and we got a little too excited. Mom calmed us down with M&M's (the world's best medicine!) which was okay until Melody stole one of CJ's and he started yelling and crying again, "Mel eat MM".
We played at the park, played with playdough, did mazes and tracing, colored on paper, built trains and generally ran amuck today. Lots of fun with mom in the summer.
Mom managed to vacuum and dust the whole house today as well. I must say I am very productive as a stay at home summer mom. :-)
They want to grow up too fast!
During our walk around the block, the boys collected flowers for mommy. Isn't it a beautiful bouquet?
Then, we drew pictures on the front sidewalk with chalk.
Here are the artists in action.
Kyle actually drew his FIRST figure drawing today --- mostly up till now he has done modern art scribbles, but today he drew --- ta da --- Daddy and he is soooooooooo proud of it!

The boys helped John mow the lawn this morning before it got too hot to be outside. Several passerbys noted how cute John's helpers were. Personally, I think that the main mower was fabulously cute too!
After lawn mowing, we stopped by Grandma's house being built and Kyle bemoaned the fact that there was no visible hill to run down. We tried to explain that it was behind the construction, but he was not convinced. (To see pictures --- look on Grandma's site).
We went grocery shopping at SAMS and SuperWalmart --- filled our cart with healthy food which of course meant expensive...sigh...conspiracy in the food market to make Americans fat.
Kyle and Mommy are working through preschool readiness workbooks this summer and learning to cut with scissors, draw lines across, down and diagonally, and we learned a new song for spelling our name. Daddy is teaching Kyle to write his name a letter at a time with tub crayons during bathtime so Kyle is well on his way. School is not boring so no groaning from my siblings about their summer past!
CJ and Mommy and Daddy are in serious discussions about the potty and pee peeing and "pooting" in the potty. CJ is getting the language down and is fascinated by the toliet paper and flushing. So far no action but Mom is ever hopeful.
It's been a nice Saturday....we are having a great summer!
