We all went to help cheer Dad on during his church league softball game. John plays third base and is the fifth hitter.
Kyle and CJ were very helpful --- telling dad how to play the game and "win". Here is CJ giving Dad a good luck kiss.

Kyle told Dad to "get those guys" and showed Dad a very good karate chop/boxing combination. When Dad crossed the plate scoring the winning run, Kyle announced, "See I told him how to win!"

Unfortunately, a very blurry picture of John scoring .... stupid camera!
We headed out at nine o'clock and got to the state fair just as it was opening...ready for a day of fun!

The first stop was the Little Hands on the Farm exhibit where kids can pretend to be farmers...planting crops, feeding animals and driving a tractor. Here are the little farmers setting out on their adventure (with their helpers of course!)CJ is riding a tractor and Kyle is planting his "carrot" seed.

Then we went to the petting zoo area...where Kyle and CJ both fed the animals. Kyle was still a little unsure of himself but he tried. CJ grinned from ear to ear...except for when the baby cow licked him...he wanted us to clean him up right then!

In the food and fiber pavillion, we went through the dr pepper museum, saw cotton being separated from the seeds, played with wheat seeds, and colored in the Dallas Farmers Market section.

We had quite a day at the Tulsa State fair. The boys got to see a magic show with a rainforest theme, we made bubbles, dug for shells and minerals, went to a petting zoo (only CJ would pet them as Kyle was too nervous), we ate turkey legs, corn dogs and catfish, looked at all the exhibits, climbed in "mack the truck", an ambulance, and several police cars, got sheriff badges, and all sorts of temporary tattoos, and the boys rode the train, flinstone vehicles and airplanes. Whew! busy day!
If you want to see pictures, check out our Laura and John Mullen gallery under the album Tulsa State Fair.
Kyle is a great helper...he vacuumed the entryway and the front hall just to help. What a big boy!

Sometimes the enemy sneaks up on you, sometimes they line up in the dining room of your grandma's house. Kyle and CJ protect mommy from the monsters....paper towels. A hard fought battle...each with their own cunning style....and they WON! Paper towels will bother us no more!
Kyle and CJ went to the park and after a 3 1/2 hour drive...you need to run...
Here is Kyle being coy (he knew mom was snapping pictures.

After the park, we took baths and settled down...CJ fell asleep in this angellic pose. :-)
