Kyle and CJ went to the Thomas the Tank Engine show today at Nokia in Grand Prairie. They came home with light up wands featuring Thomas, and baseball t shirts with Thomas, Percy and Diesel.

The show had live action versions of Thomas, Percy and Diesel in a "musical" featuring Thomas songs. Kyle sang heartily along and yelled at the appropriate times. CJ sat stupified in wonder. :-)He did manage to eat almost an entire box of popcorn though.
Thomas and Percy had to clean up after a terrible wind storm and get Sodor ready for the Magic Lantern Show. Thomas had to save Percy from a rock slide at the Quarry and they found a secret diamond mine and a huge diamond that they used to fix the lighthouse. All in a day's work for Thomas. :-)
Kyle had a doctor's appointment this morning at North Texas Dermatologists --- he had a suspicious mole. The doctor looked at it and said it was two toned and asymetrical which are warning signs (although Kyle is awfully young for it to be serious --- rare chance). However, she was concerned enough to remove it and send it off for a biopsy. Of course, this news was not taken lightly by Sir Kyle. First, he had to have a shot. The screaming you heard at 10:15 today...that was Kyle. Then, with his view of his knee blocked, the doctor took a special razor and removed it. This didn't affect Kyle UNTIL she put the bandaid over the top. Then, he began renewed "upset". For his bravery, Kyle got two stickers, a motorcycle toy and a little car. He still needed icecream and a romp on the mcdonald's playground. :-)
Shortly afterward --- Mom started to feel funny. Headache...spots in front of her eyes...fuzziness. She called her doctor who immediately said, get to Labor and Delivery. The nurses put on a blood pressure cuff (which caused Mom's blood vessels in her arm to break --- looks like a cuff sized hickey all around her arm), took her blood (which left a bruise) and made her lie with monitors for hours. As we waited for the results, the monitor started to pick up contractions which Mom FELT BIG TIME. The answer --- drink 60 ounces of water and eat peanut butter crackers. No result. . . so three shots twenty minutes apart of an anti contraction medicine was the next course of action. Luckily that worked because otherwise she was going to have to go on a IV and stay overnight. The contractions stopped with the shots, so six hours later.....she was discharged with medicine for preterm labor.
It is always something!

We are in the 8th month now...very beginning of it anyway --- a ways to go till June 7th... The doctor has put me on bedrest until Alyssa comes out. I guess I'll have time to read the books I've had set out since Christmas and I can maybe scrapbook Kyle and CJ's lives since I've only done year one of Kyle and Day one of CJ :-).
It is hard to stand still when you're three, but we are still a good looking bunch!
We started the day early...up when the sun rose to check out Easter baskets.

One of the great toys...a paddle ball. We clocked Dad in the head with it and no one managed to actually connect the ball and the paddle. :-)

But we also got coloring books, books to read, crayons, miniature trains, spiderman cars and of course....CANDY!
After church, we looked for hidden eggs in the backyard. All in all great Easter.

We headed out this morning in 39 degree weather to catch the bluebonnets before tonight's frost took them. At Zion's Cemetery in Frisco, we posed among the bluebonnets before the flurries came. We got a few cute shots before everyone was too cold to smile. We will try again later :-) if they are still there.

Before dinner, we set out nine colors of egg dye and the boys set to work choosing the perfect colors and leaving them in until the colors were "just right".
