Kyle tries out karate at Uncle Jonathan's Gym
Uncle Jonathan (2nd degree black belt) has started his new business venture of teaching (and managing) a Karate school. Kyle went to a Lil' Dragons class to see if he would like to learn Karate. He loved it! Kyle said "I want to go 60 hundred times" (that's a lot in Kyle land).
Here is Kyle trying punches on one of the other instructors.
This exercise was to help with balance. After the instructor let go, Kyle had to cross the bag on his own and jump off.
Kyle jumping over the bags...right after jumping he had to duck when the instructor waved the bag over the top of him.
The last part of class they did a teamwork exercise to carry the heavy punching bag across the gym floor.
Kyle joined right in and had so much fun!

Alyssa goes swimming for the first time
What a cute little mermaid...swimming with daddy in the pool. She didn't mind the water at all...was very calm and content. No screaming or anything like that....just at peace to swim with Daddy and Mommy.
Big brothers helped her get used to the water.

Playing with Geotrax...waiting for Daddy to come home
The boys made a track for their Geo trains but they kept saying, "When will Daddy be home to make the big big track for us?" I told them I would but it seems for some things only Daddy will do!
Alyssa looking pretty in her new green dress --- she had to get one on the road because she messed up her other clothes and mom had no spare in the diaper bag.

Kyle wanted Daddy to see him swimming on his tummy with his spiderman suit...so here it is.
Alyssa is Two Months Old
Alyssa went to the doctor and got her two month shots today...she's been sleeping ever since. Quite tramatic for a little girl! Kyle and CJ were there for moral support.
Alyssa is 10 pounds now ---yay! that puts her in the 38th percentile, and she is 22 inches long which also puts her in the 35th percentile...quite a jump from the 5th percentile at two weeks.

Fireworks on the Fourth of July
For the Fourth of July we threw noise poppers on the front driveway and tried sparklers in the backyard...that's as crazy as we got :-).
With fireworks restrictions in McKinney....that is all you can do and with all the rain, the big fireworks shows were cancelled.
Kyle and CJ coated the front driveway with poppers --- you throw them into the air and then when they land, they make a popping sound. No matches required. Safe for them to handle. It was a lot of fun.
Kyle and CJ each tried a sparkler.
Dad tried a Golden Flower sparkler....really big showstopper!
Mom and Alyssa watched the action....well Mom did...Alyssa wasn't that impressed...she slept through most of it.
