Well, I've been juggling a lot lately, between going to classes, doing homework, completing projects, going to work, and playing Final Fantasy XI. Fortunatly my college has not suffered from my gaming, but this is thanks to my over abundance of free time.
Due to the graphical demand of FFXI, I have endeavored to increase my visual pleasure by finally upgrading the ONLY piece of equipment in my computer that is "behind the times", my video card. I have, and have had for a long time (I want to say 3-4 years), a GeForce 2 Ultra 64mb card, and it has sufficed up till this game. Now I have a Radeon 9800XT (with overdrive) on the way to my doorstep, scheduled to arrive at 1630 EST on Friday of this week. 2 things are bad about this: ONE) I have to wait and TWO) All my friends now hate me.
Ok, so I've started my plan of changing my site slightly by actually creating a real "blog", which is what this current area is on the main page. This blog is located HERE, and will mirror things posted on the main page until I update my menu to the right on the main page. This blog currently looks quite ugly, but I will update the stylesheet EVENTUALLY. I like this blog setup, by Moveable Type, because it allows the use of comments for each post, which is a cool way for people to say what they want about what I said. Plus if I don't like the comment, I can delete it. My other friends have been using this for some time now, but I've put it off. The main page of my website will soon just contain "news", posts concerning information on updates to the actual site.
So . . . FFXI, you can see a gallery of screenshots from the game that my friends and I have taken in the course of playing it.
Yesterday I was in Tulsa and ate lunch with my father and a co-worker of his who is in charge of the MIS/computer aspects of his company. I talked about summer work and he gave me SEVERAL contacts to call in the Tulsa area, and I can use his name when calling them. This is very cool, as it will help me get an internship! Hopefully I'll start calling this weekend, though I need to create a "script" of what to say.
Alright, I think that is a big enough update to make up for my lack of updating lately.
TUMEO.
And you will pass those numbers on to me, so I can free myself from the bonds of walmart, unless I get an internship in Bentonville over the summer.
