Well, stuff has happened since I last posted. I keep letting it get longer and longer between posts, oh well.
I've got my two nephews visiting, oh yeah, and their parents too. They came in last night. Today has been a slow day, the females are out shopping, what a suprise, and the males are just around the house.
Yesterday, at 8am, I helped administer a black belt test. It was pretty rough on the canidates, just like it should be. It was a good time though, got to meet people and everyone did a great job. Joe fought in an open style martial arts tournament yesterday, and did an amazing job, so congrats to him. He's been studying Kung Fu. I forget the specific name/style of Kung Fu.
For those friends of mine planning to go to A-Kon 16, visit Jayjay's site and fill out the form so we can get some estimated costs as well as seeing who is planning on going. Most of you already have, but just incase.
I think that is about it for now.
TUMEO.
Can't wait for akon.
Posted by: Nick at May 23, 2005 01:08 AMHey thanks for the congrats, I really hope I can go to a tournament that you go to sometime, we wouldn't be able to fight each other or anything because I'm too low rank, but it would be cool to just hant out and see each other fight and do forms or whatever. I almost have my full first form learned, I can't wait to do it at the next competition I go to.
My kung fu style is Hung Gar, of the Wong Fei Hung>Lam Sai Wing>Lam Jo>Buck Sam Kong lineage. The lineage isn't extremely important, just kind of defines the style of the style, almost like a certain dialect or something. I know that Buck Sam Kong doesn't teach strictly Hung Gar, he kind of added some other styles like Choy Li Fut to his curriculum and blended the styles together to make a more versatile style of hung gar, although it may not be as traditional as the lam chun fai (lam jo's son) lineage of hung gar. Yeah I've beend reading a lot about my style :P
