That's it, one more day, just 1 day left until the end of working at Starworld 20. 6 years, 7 months and 11 days later I'm finally leaving the place. It's been a fun run, well, until the end there with all the home office bs and even more supreme idiocy. It's possible I might end up "working" some more still, but it will be strictly to help those currently working, such as minor maintance or help with things people might not understand. Let's face it, after nearly 7 years, I have a lot of info up in my head that can be useful to others. I don't want to leave my friends pulling their hairs out, so I'll help when I can, at least until the rest of them leave as well.
I'm not sure what all feelings I have right now. Got a lot of mixed ones about a lot of different things. Read one of my friends sites that he finally decided to update, though he forgot to change the year, so it said 2004 instead of the correct year of 2005, but it happens. I hear where he's coming from. A lot of people actually have similiar experiences and feelings on a lot of what he typed. It's really amazing, a lot of times you figure you are the only one that thinks this way or is feeling that way, but human nature can always connect us. I found that out a long long time ago, well not that long ago, but yeah.
Anyways, I'm tired and ready to go to sleep, plus take out my contacts. Kinda got a busy day ahead of me. Hopefully I'll write more later.... hopefully.
TUMEO.
Thank god jp. Hey, I want my 5 year pin, and 100 for not getting a 6 year pin, even though we should.
Posted by: Nick at July 29, 2005 05:36 PMlol, you counted down to the day... I thought I've been at my job for a long time, but that's nothing compared to your 6 years, 7 months and 11 days.
Posted by: Jay at July 29, 2005 06:42 PMWell all i want o know is are you going to the concert and to make sure you are making enough money at your new job to get me something really good for christmas and my birthday :O)
Posted by: Emily at July 29, 2005 11:50 PMI remember my first real job...working in food service at the U of Arkansas...It was a terrible job.Next was the library, somewhat better and I met your dad there! also did a year with the dept of animal sciences.....all in all 4 years.I got my BA and MEd so I could teach and spent 3 years teaching in Pennsylvania and the next 31 years raising 4 children!!Then I find out that there is no quiting or retiring from motherhood or grandmotherhood!!!! I'd say just take one day at the time and see what comes your way...look at it as an exciting adventure and life is a little more interesting.
