So, right now I'm typing to you from Dallas, again. Well, Dallas metroplex, but anywho. It's my brother-in-law's, John Mullen, birthday today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY. He's like 40 or 50 something! Haha, just kidding. We'll be doing some celebrating later tonight for it, he's working right now.
1 week down, 15 more to go! The first week went pretty well. Got some decent professors, and as long as I stay on top of my work load, I should do just fine. It's really nice having Tuesdays and Thursdays off, but at the same time, Monday and Wednesdays do seem quite long. When I get back on Sunday I'll need to do some reading, yeppie.
My body is slowing adjusting to all the changes I'm throwing at it at once. If I go into a coma, don't be suprised. I'm having to get used to my new sleep schedule, which isn't bad at all. I'm waking up around 9~9:30am every day, even without alarms on Tuesday and Thursday, so I think my body is getting used to that, but not completely, still pretty tired midday. I'm also going on a somewhat diet, the thing I mentioned earlier. I'm not full out on it, but I'm eating better slowly, and some better is better than no better. I'm also working out every night. 3 sets of chin-ups/pull-ups/dips/push-ups then 30 minutes on the stationary bicycle. Of course, without having a gym when I'm away from school, I'll have to modify to just push-ups, switching between wide stance and close stance with my arms. I think I'll start doing triangle push-ups too, when I don't have the gym. So last night, just before going to bed, I did 50 push-ups without stopping. I did that a couple of weeks ago too, but this time it was much easier to get to the 50. So that's my starting point. Next Friday I'll see how many more than that I can do at once. The sorest muscles I have right now are the ones on the inside bend of my arms, then probably my triceps are next in line.
Oh yeah, so I used the "assisted" pull-up/chin-up/dip machine. It's pretty nice. The first time I countered my weight with 80 pounds, ~47% of my weight. Next week I'll move it to 70 pounds (~41%) and increase my bicycling up 2 notches of resistance. I'll do that each week, making it harder by the week. So, in theory, October 17th would be the week I start to do pull-ups and dips without any "assistance". Not sure if that'll work out exactly, but that's what I'll be going for, modifying it as I see how my body adjusts.
The demonstartion we did went really well. The kids really seemed to like it at the school we did it at. We'll be going back on Thursday and doing another one and seeing what kids have signed-up. We need at least 5 to make it "worthwhile". The other school we went to we ended up re-scheduling because they won't have the right age group until after school starts, around September 6th. It looks promising though.
I've been a bit out of sorts this last week too, it seems. I think it's mainly because of all the changes I'm throwing at my body, so it's having to get used to things. And, oh man, I got to sleep with my pillow I got from the chiropractor last night (I left it at my house on last Saturday, so I've been using a normal pillow all week). It felt a lot better, my neck was tight a couple days, and today it's just fine after sleeping on that pillow. It really does seem to make a difference. I'm still sorta getting used to it, but I definatly like it.
Alright, well, I suppose I'll try and clean up a few things around my sister's so they won't have as much to do when they get back from shopping.
TUMEO.
you missed a fun night at zach's i got kind of drunk

You sound really busy, hope your body will be able to keep up with all those activities... if not, there's always naps. :)
