こんいちわ,
ジョナサン ポッター デス。
Unfortunatly, I'm probably mixing two different types of Japanese writing above (Hiragana & Katakana), but anyways, that says "Good afternoon, I am Jonasan(ジョナサン) Pottaa(ポッター)", and my last name is known fairly well in Japan because of the Harry Potter books, as my Japanese instructor informed me.
I've had my first week of class at high school part 2... I mean, TCC. I think all my classes will go well. I am planning on taking Japanese as an audit, however, I can wait until later in the semester to change it, and incase I manage to grasp the language really well and get good grades, I'll hold off on the audit. My English comp II teacher seems to be nice, and as long as I don't delay on my papers, I should do fine in the class. Intercultural communications, good teacher, and a decent class.
More on Intercultural; so, I left on Tuesday night to go (I only have the class on Tuesday nights for 2 months), and orginally I thought it was at the TCC Metro campus. When I was getting close to the Metro campus, my brain finally kicked into gear, and I realized, wait... it's not at Metro... it's at West... where the heck is West Campus??? I went ahead and finished driving to Metro and asked them. They didn't give good directions. Fortunatly I have a system like OnStar, it's called my mobile phone and Erik infront of a computer. Erik was able to find where I was and give me directions to get to the West Campus. Yay for Erik! I was late, luckly I had left early enough to be there 30 mintues early orginally, so instead I was just 20 minutes late.
So, orginally I was planning on making a post back on the 20th of December, and that post was 2 days old as it was. The title was "Grades, Graduation, Work, Birthdays, Presents...". Birthdays and Presents aren't really relevent anymore, as presents was talking about the difficulty I was having figuring out what to get people for Christmas, and the Birthdays have past.
This is what I HAD typed up on the 20th: Several items of interest have transpired since my last attempt to transcribe events occuring in my life. I received all my grades for the semester: 2-A's and 2-B's; gaining me a 3.5 GPA for the semester.
Graduation happened. It was.. umm... boring, any suprise there? The speaker, Boone Pickens (however you spell his name) wasn't very good, but he's given millions, like at least 125 million, to the university, so I guess you don't have to be that great of a speaker. I walked, got to hear my friends some in the crowd. Max and Erik came down from Norman, and my roommate, Matt, and my previous roommates Matt and Zach where there. Of course nearly all my family was there. Jennifer and Rene couldn't make the trek up from Lubbock, but that's cool, I really would have been fine if no one had come, I mean... I don't even want to sit through it, why would I want anyone else to!! It was a good last semester at OSU. Matt Hafner was an awesome roommate, as all of mine have been actually. Matt brought a different dimension into the roommateness though. Crazy studier, and Japanese'ness. Taught me how to write 3 phrases/words and introduced me to some Japanese people. Hopefully him and I will get to make a trip to Japan this summer, that would really rock.
So, it's been awhile since I updated, and I apologize. A lot of my friends are now even further away, so this is one way to let them know of things going on with me. I mean, sure, I talk to them online, and even on the phone, but when you sit down and start typing, you often add a lot of info you forget otherwise. And there have been things I have forgetten that I wanted to post, but since I put it off, lost forever in the wheels of time.
Erik shot me some interesting links, here's one I remember: http://famicomband.org/movies/punchout.mov. I did get to go and spend a couple of days up in Norman with everyone, and that was cool. Got to see Guitar Hero, and started playing WoW, as two of my friends got it for me for Christmas. I'll have to figure out if I'll start paying for it after the free month is up or not. I wonder if I'll enjoy the "end game" as much or not, so I'll probably play until I reach 50's or so at the least.
Well, this is a fairly long post, but it's been a bit. There's probably more, but for now I think I'll stop. Need to work more on my Grandpa's War Memiors. I'm editing them and making it look sharp, dividing the text up into sections and then pictures.
TUMEO.
お元気で。

Yeah, I didn't know if you should mix the katakana and hiragana on the same line, so I picked the one that I thought was katakana (guessed correctly at least)

Good luck with your Japanese lessons... once you know Japanese, you should know a little Chinese and then it's time for you to visit China & Taiwan and maybe meet my cousin that you think is cute! :)
