SNOW and Dad Sleeping

Wow, did it snow yesterday, and a lot. The bigger problem was all the wind and the large snow drifts that it created here in Tulsa. Of course, with the snow is the strange urge for people to risk their lives to go to the movie theatre just because they don't have to go to work/school. I work last night, and the snow decided to really come down.

On the way out, I decided to go one path, and it was not the right one to take at all. The snow was built up just a bit too high for my short little car. I literally dug myself out 3 times, the last time managing to get within about 2 feet of low ground that I could drive out on. I was exhausted by this point. The bottom half of my pants were ice, and so was my hair. I went inside the theatre and thawed out some while I called my dad and had him come down. With his help, we managed to push it back just enough, and then I made it the rest of the way home. Here's a picture after I pulled into the drive way, you can see how high the snow is just on the drive way, and it was higher in several parts of the parking lot at work.

As most of you know, the house is pretty sparse at the moment. I decided to take pictures of what my father is sleeping on. Some of you might recall that small cot I have.

And that's about it for now. Roads are going to get bad here tonight, but I don't have to go to work until Tomorrow evening, so hopefully I won't have much to worry about besides other drivers.

    TUMEO.

Jonathan, it didn't sound like much fun digging out of the snow. We were supposed to get a lot more here than we actually did, which is usually the case. Just little bits of ice on the roads that I had to travel on. I knew you would get lots more. Be safe and careful!
