Just got done watch the movie and then going to village inn to eat, and then going to my friends apartment and seeing my old white geo that has its passenger side caved in. What happened you asked? A lady (yep a female driver) was backing up and then saw Token, errr James, and attempted to slam, and I mean slam, on the brake, but hit the accelerator instead. The car is "totaled" according to the insurance, but driveable. It's not the best driving from what I've been told. Oh, my poor old car, my baby. But then again, Nick's car isn't fairing all that well at the moment either.
Oh yeah, so the movie. I liked it, and my friends liked it. I thought it was very well done. There were a few unnecassary scenes where you say some parts of the female body and such, but I always think that's unecassary, maybe it's from being beaten by my sisters, who knows.
Alright, 5 minutes until tommorrow, so I'll sign out, full of Cookies & Creme shake, mmmmMMMM.
TUMEO.
Well, not straight to work, I still have my C programming class, and then I start my weekly drive back to Tulsa to work, and then drive back to Stillwater arriving at 1am. So much fun.
The Cooler play at the AMC theatres at 7:35pm and 9:55pm on Friday night. I know Erik is planning on going, so please, either leave a comment, send an IM or call one of us tommorrow if you want to go so we can save seats/wait for you. I'm thinking the 9:55pm showing is more likely the one we will see, most likely will give people more time to get there, but if you want one time over the other, leave a comment!
Ok, gotta jet to class. And Nick is super cool, even if he never updates ( >.< ).
TUMEO.
Well, another slow day rolled by. Didn't get much accomplished unfortunatly. There are a lot of things I actually want to get done. And tommorrow is once again Thursday, which is another day of working, oh joy on joy.
On Friday night, most likely, I am planning on see the movie Cooler, which is only showing at AMC in the grand city of Tulsa, OK. Erik will be coming as well, and hopefully many more. The showing we shall partake in watching will either be at 7:05 or 10:05, or somewhere around there. This is assuming that the times are going to be the same, I'll check tommorrow and post before I start my drive to Tulsa.
Well, not much to say, I just want to go sleep, and sleep forever.
And Nick is cool, even if he does have that sign on his back.
TUMEO.
Yeppie, a lazy day. I did do work though. I had a programing project that was due today. It is due at midnight, but I actually did it right after my class, it's amazing, as soon as I knew about it, I did it. Maybe I'm starting to not be so much of a procrastanator. Who knows. Yes, however, the rest of today has been a lazy day for me, I mean it's cold outside, so what else would I be but lazy?
Well, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for this year's Oscar awards.
I'll put up my predictions sometime soon. I'm normally not very right, but it'll be fun anyways.
But yeah, so that's cool, lots of films I saw this year are up, including lost in translation. FYI, Cooler is now playing in Tulsa, I'll be in Tulsa this weekend, I think we should all go and see it, and yes, we would have to pay, since it's not at my theatre, but I'm sure you guys would pay for my ticket (*wink* *wink*), since I'm always getting you in for free, right? right? And since Joe, besides being the coolest ever, works at the theatre too, you should pay for his ticket!! And Joe, I'll be shaving my face like that one time again!
Ok, back to being lazy.
TUMEO.
I just posted and then read Erik's site. We both mentioned the snow, how cool is that?!?!?!
On another note, I'm never missing more than 2 days in a row again until I update my html code and stylesheet for this blog, it can make it look bad when there aren't enough entries, which is partially why I'm posting this extra little tid-bit.
TUMEO.
All your snow are belong to us. Yep, snow snow snow, and cold cold cold. Lots of snow, but nothing sticking on the roads, which is a good thing.
Just got done with classes, and then went to do a research study on "language". It was interesting. I was on a computer and hit the next button and it would display one to three words at a time, and when I hit next button again the previous word(s) would disappear and new ones appear. Then I'd be asked a question on the sentence and press yes or no.
Now to get some work done, no game playing till work done today for me!
TUMEO.
Ever had one of those days were you thought you had done something and then come to find out the next day that you hadn't done it at all. That would be me with updating, oops.
How hard are my UNIX labs, you ask Erik, well, take a gander and judge for yourself.
I've gotten a few things done during the weekend, though not nearly as much as I would like. I just got done catching up on some sleep though. I went to bed at 11, however, it took me awhile to actually fall asleep, I don't think my body was used to go to bed that early. Now I need to e-mail my sister, since I seem to have forgotten to do that.
Alright, clean up my dorm room a bit, e-mail people, take a shower.
TUMEO.
My UNIX class is the easiest ever. I have a bunch of "labs". I'm going to do every single last one of them this weekend.... well... maybe. The point is, I can, and they are easy. Then I just show up for the first 5 minutes for roll, any project announcments and turn in the lab.
In other news, Erik has reached 100 entries!! Awesome for him. I have no idea how many I have, when combined with my other website. It's a lot though, a whole heck of a lotness.
Today is work day, Thursday. I'm about to go take a shower so I'll be all nice and clean for it. Still have my C Programming class, and right after that, it's driving time.
Ok, finish eating, shower, class drive.
TUMEO.
I just got done taken a short nap. Feels like I should have slept longer, but I think then I would have been too long. Maybe not, who knows. Another round of classes today, only two classes tommorrow. About to login to the UNIX system and get some work done for the UNIX lab I need to finish up.
I'm better organized this semester, though I wasn't really badly organized last semester, but yeah. I'm a little more on top of things. Anyways, going to do some school work, don't have much else to say.
TUMEO.
You thought I was going to miss today's post, didn't you! Ha, I laugh at you! I'm typing this with an hour to spare too.
Just had one class today at 2pm, so I spent most of it relaxing. Yes, Mom, I did mail in the rebate. Other than that, I haven't been productive at all. However, I'm about to do some webwork, and that will result in a small portion of productivity.
Erik got some new ram and processor in today. He is attempting to overclock them. I wish him luck. He shouldn't have any worries, 1) he's smart, 2) he usually knows what he is doing, 3) he looks stuff up and reads it before hand. I'm sure he won't experience the same problems that my friend Dave has when he's overclocked his. Let's just say... lots and lots and lots of problems.
Anyways, going to take out my contacts, do a little webwork, get to bed at a resonable hour, then wake up for class.
Little more than 45 minutes to spare, so HA, Erik.
TUMEO.
I stayed up really really late last night doing a lot of webwork, all revolving around the "div" tag. Understand it a lot better now though, but shesh....... I was working on it with JayJay. One tiny tiny bit of code for 3 hours. It delayed me from posting on here for yesterday, and by the time I got done working on other stuff after we got that problem working, it was late, so I didn't feel like posting until after I'd slept.
I'm doing more webwork now. Not a whole lot, just bits a pieces at a nice slow rate. I still want to pull my hair out though. About to start cleaning up my dorm room. I'm spread out everywhere, it's kinda sad. Then do a little bit more school work that I need to do. Then maybe, hopefully, some gaming to relax.
Classes tommorrow, horray for today and no classes. Tommorrow is the last day to add a class if I want to jump above 12 hours, which I probably should. I am going to look into the P.E. type of courses and possibly add one of those.
In other news, right now I'm using Mozilla Firebird 0.7 It's not all that different from IE (Internet explorer), except it fixes bugs that are a FULL VERSION OLD. Yeah.... stupid IE. Well, it's not that it's stupid really. IE just assumes a lot of things. And it tries to "fix" code when it might be written incorrectly, which is a good thing considering all the websites out there that are poorly written >.<
Mozilla has "tabbed browsing", unfortunatly I'm not impressed with it. But the rest is nice. I like how it stretches fully to the edges of the screen and doesn't show a thin bar like in IE. Plus, Mozilla will help me make sure that my websites are more complient to multiple browsers, instead of just IE, like my main site is right now.
Anyways, clean room, shower, school work, GAMES.
TUMEO.
I am so sleepy today. And, apparently, I've been terribly forgetful this week as well. I forgot like 3 important things at work. Sheesh, pathetic. Working on random stuff, organizing my room and the likes right now. Also organizing my school stuff. Now I'm going to go play FFXI and relax for a bit.
Nothing else exciting to say.
TUMEO.
So, according to Erik I have a random problem involving buying computer parts. It's not random at all! It can be scientficly broken down. I'll be walking, or sitting, or eating, or on my computer, and then I hear the flutter of a butterfly's wings, or maybe the sunlight glints just right, and sometimes a thought pops up in my head, see, and when that happens I go and look at computer parts, usually on-line. So it's not random at all!
So, here's the lovely news about my Japanese class. I got signed up for it and everything. I ended up dropping one of my other classes since it was at the same time spot. I go and come to find out that this happens to be the SECOND class in the series, and not the first. The first wasn't listed in the SPRING semester because it is only offered in the FALL semester. So I had to drop that, since no way I was going to know where I was in the class. Unfortunatly, in that 18 hour time, the class I WAS in got filled up, so now I'm down to only 12 hours instead of 15. I could still try and take a P.E. type of class. The good news about this is that it was my "early" class, at 9:30. Now my classes start at 11:30, which is actually a good thing, since I do worst at my early classes, and now I don't have one. I like all the classes I am in, so that's good too. It means I won't want to drop any of them. So, in the end, I think I'm better off. It still kinda stinks though.
Well, I'm home in Tulsa. Going to line judge training for the AWANA games tommorrow, unfortunatly, early (8:00am). Afterwards I'm heading back up to Stillwater for the rest of the weekend. I'm planning on getting stuff taken care of for school (lots of organizing) and then some webwork with the occasional game thrown in to relax.
Sleep tyme.
TUMEO.
For those of you that were unaware, today is Thursday. This means driving to Tulsa from Stillwater to work and do inventory day. This also means not getting back until between midnight and 1am. Fun fun!! I need to go buy my Japanese book, I'll do that tommorrow before my Japanese class.
For those friends that read my site: A-Kon 15 is coming up in June. You've already read on other sites (maybe) about the hotel room situation. It looks like we might have around 15 people coming this year, which should be cool, though interesting with cars... what... 4 cars. But that's getting ahead. I think it'll be a blast.
Alright, well, I'm taking a shower and then doing driving for an hour and half, yeppie!!
TUMEO.
Well I've had 3 classes twice now, and they are looking promising. C Programming looks interesting, I might not learn anything new in it, but it will be a nice refresher. Tommorrow I'll have my Unix class for the first time, as well as my new course... Japanese. I have a Japanese class 5 days of the week now. 9:30 in the morning, not terribly bad, just means I'll be going to bed before 1am now. It also means that I haven't had the first 3 classes, yuck for being behind, but at least it shouldn't be too far...... I also need to go buy the book for it.
It's nice a warm over here, crazy winter!!! I bought a wall callender, and am planning on using it as a "Things to Do", so I'll write stuff for everday and not be lazy, *hopefully*. I think it will help. I'll actually write down my school assignments down, it'll be crazy.
I'm hungry, so food.
TUMEO.
In all my "excitement" from my first day of classes, I seem to have missed my update. I actually thought I had.... oh well. I had four of my six classes today, though I only got to meet 3 of my actually instructors. The other one was still coming in from a trip, so there was another there to hand out the syllabus and explain a few things as well as take roll.
So far all of them seem nice, so I think it might be a good year. I still am thinking about trying to get into the Japanese class, but I need to talk to my advisor as well as the Japanese teacher. Got my one class today in about an hour and half, good ol' C programming. I won't know what my last class, Unix programming, is going to be like until Thursday, however, that's the only day I have it on (lovely 1 credit classes).
Getting back into the swing of things, I'm starving right now, so I'll be going down and grabbing some food from The Little Bakery in a few. I'm already missing my printer paper, there have been about four things I've wanted to print off so far, though none of them critical, guess I'll just have to wait until Thursday.
Ok, shower tyme, eat, then class.
TUMEO.
I'm definatly back at OSU. Just got done downloading two files. One downloaded at 800kb/s the other at 1.5Mb/s. Gotta love that. Getting myself plenty of sleep as well. Tommorrow classes start, I wonder what kind of professors I shall have this semester. I'll stop by and talk to my advisor tommorrow as well, I mean I should introduce myself, right?
I can think of about 3 things I forgot to bring up: My pool stick, printer paper, a usb cable for my printer. Seems I managed to grab everything else.
I'm going to try and do a little webwork today, we'll see if I get distracted from that or not.
TUMEO.
Several of you already know this from seeing me online and such, but the internet is working up at OSU... for now. When I first plugged it in, it wasn't working, and I was getting ready to go crazy, but after some milking of ipconfig it finally came up. I woke up this morning to "pc-cillin has found blahblahblah worm and was unable to clean it. It is quarantined". I was like, what?!?!?!?! Then I realized I needed to unshare the folders that I had shared over at teh LAN, then deleted the viruses and worms that had transfered over.
Hopefully my friends that are not up at OSU and have website/weblogs will update them now, as I'm not there to know what's going on in their lives! My dad was overjoyed when we went and bought the books, I thought it wasn't THAT bad, I mean, only 400 bucks. So far, the only thing I seem to have forgotten is printer paper, which I will probably need at some point during the next week, so I shall either be driving home, or going to the bookstore on campus and buying paper on the bursar (more money my dad gets to pay) account... that, or I could go to a computer lab and "print" a couple of blank pages (like 20) and let that last me until Thursday.
My sister, Emily, is now engaged. It's a lovely ring, and she is happy. The cats, not sure which one (most likely Princess), have figured out how to open the cabinet doors above the washer and dryer where the food and treats are for them. One of them dragged the treats bag down and chewed into it. A rubberband now acts as the lock to keep them out.
Here is a link that all of my family will probably want to download, as well as some of my friends if they haven't already. Remote Gallery allows you to simply drag and drop to upload multiple pictures to the gallery. It's very nice and easy, and even well learned computer folk like to use it.
Alright, I need to take a shower and then go find some food.
TUMEO.
I'm sitting here typing as I have my laundry churning away. I just realized I shoudl have down my whites first, as they would have been out of the dryer faster since there are so much fewer of them, but oh well. I'll probably be leaving between 1pm and 2pm, though that depends on how fast I pack everything up in the next hour and when my dad gets home from work.
Too bad I haven't evented "teh doorway" yet. YOu don't know what that is? Well, it's my plan to make doorways that act as a way to do what a lot of people would call teleportation. You see, you activate the door, and punch in the location that you want to teleport to, it communicates with that doorway, and upon finding it, it either puts itself in the queue of others waiting, or opens up the door and bends space and time to connect to this other doorway so you can just walk through it and BAM, you are there instantly. So, yeah, I'm working on that.........
Hopefully, and I stress hopefully, the internet at OSU will be working correctly so I'll be able to do stuff on it once I arrive and get setup. Keep your fingers crossed for me. If I don't update tommorrow, then you'll know it's b/c of OSU, not b/c I'm lazy... really... I promise...
packing then driving.
TUMEO.
I have made 5 chocolate heavens. That's a lot. Took a little more than an hour to bake all 5 crusts alone. Technically two aren't finished, but that is b/c I need to go and buy more whipped cream for the top layer, and that takes less than a minute to put on. I delivered two of my chocolate heavens last night to teh LAN and teh apartment. It seems people may, though not completely sure on that ~_^, be enjoying them.
I'm about to take a shower and then head to work to try and fix a few things on the day before I head back up to OSU. I might drag my dad along with me so he can buy my books for me ^_^ Hmmm... I just made Chocolate Heaven for my house too, but my dad is going to be the only one around to eat it, that could be bad. Maybe I'll have him take some up to his work or something.
Oh yeah, so I delivered Chocolate Heaven, right? Well when I went to teh apartment, I knocked on the door and then opened it, and walked right in to what seemed to be nobody home. After a little bit of searching I found that Brad and Jackie were actually there, but asleep. I was going to call Tina or Adam and see where they were, but I was pretty tired, so I left the lovely present in their refridgerator with a note and headed out. It ends up they were downstairs doing laundry. Oh well, maybe I'll call next time. On a side note, they should probably lock their door when they leave, so as not to let crazy people walk into their apartment.
Alright, shower tyme, work tyme, pack some stuff tyme, sleep tyme, drive to OSU tyme.
TUMEO.
I slept in until 1400 (2 pm) today. It was nice, but why did I sleep in so late? Because I didn't go to bed until 0630 in the morning, so I actually only got 7 to 8 hours of sleep. I stayed up late messing around with php and annoying div tags, since tables are supposidly being "phased out" of use in html. I can understand and see why, but tables are still nice, I just need to learn a little more with div tags is all. Anyways, BAP site is coming along nicely, just need to enter in more quests, get the quest submission back up and running, altering a few things for entering, and get the Missions up as well. I'll work a lot on it when I get back to OSU I think.
Well, I'm about to head out and get some Wendy's for my dad and me, then go to albertsons and get a few materials to make... dare I type it out for people to read... to make... CHOCOLATE HEAVEN. That's right people, I will be making chocolate heaven tonight, which means it might even be able to be consumed tonight, though I don't think I feel like going out to deliver it, but people would be very welcome to come and pick it up. Making one for the apartment, one for teh LAN, and 2 for work, 1 for my house, that's 5 all together... lots of baking tonight for me.
Alright, food tyme.
TUMEO.
I type this as Erik is on his way over here, so we can head to Wendy's, thinking about how I start classes again in less than a week. I fear that Monday will come far too quickly.
I went over and saw my friends apartment last night, though two of them were asleep, Brad and Jackie. I'm sure I'll be stopping by again a few times before I head back to OSU on Friday. It's a very nice apartment. Pretty roomie, nice kitchen, nice bedrooms and a nice open living/den/family room area. Their cox internet died early on yesterday, it might be fixed now, as they were having a cable guy come early today to fix it. I'll have to be sure to go over and crash the place whenever I can ~_^
Well, my plans for today consist of going and eating at Wendy's, then maybe doing something with Erik and/or heading over to teh LAN and do a few things. After a couple of hours of playing FFXI I'll probably take my computer away from teh LAN and bring it back to my house. At some point, whether it be at teh LAN or my house, I'll finish writing up my "script" for begging... errr... asking for an internship this summer, then get all the numbers and names together and start calling tommorrow.
Well, Erik should almost be here, and my cat is trying to chew off my hand, so off I go.
TUMEO.
Today, my sister, bro-in-law and father attempted to beat me at Starfarers of Catan on the 3rd go round. Looks like the 3rd time isn't the charm for them though, I've now won 3 out of 3 times. Go me! My sister and bro-in-law might try to beat me again tonight, or maybe another game.
Hooray for Surf Ninjas! Just got done watching that with my sister, ah the memories. When my sisters and I saw that trailer in the movie theatre 10 or so years ago, we thought it was a joke trailer, that it couldn't be a real movie. When we found out it was real, we had to go and see it. Now I own the DVD.
My sister and bro-in-law will be heading out tommorrow before Noon, sadness. I wonder how many things my lovely sister Jennifer will forget this time, and how many critical things that she'll have to have shipped overnight, hmmm... maybe a betting pool anyone?
After maybe playing a game or two with them I'll head over to ye ol' LAN, and then maybe the apartment a few of my friends got recently. Need to check it out and give the three of them their Christmas gifts.
TUMEO.
So, I planned on calling her today, but apparently I forgot what number I have is her house line, she doesn't have a cell phone... so... I can't really call her since she is already at her dorm... maybe tommorrow I'll ask the parentals to give her a message, or maybe they'll give me her number there, I feel stupid >.<
Finished watching Trigun with my sister, Jennifer, tonight. I finally saw the 2 and 3/4 episodes that I had missed, they were all the last 4, 2 episodes I had seen bits a pieces of, so that was cool. I believe my sister is still confused, but that's the Anime way, right? I'm not too confused, but that's because I made up parts in my head to fill any gaps, though I don't think there were that many really.
I really want to get back to filming legos >.< , perhaps I'll remember to haul (and boy do I mean haul, all those legos of Adam's, plus a few of my own, weigh quite a lot) them up to college with me on Friday.
Tommorrow is Monday, and "technically" I don't work, but I do..., going to go in and unload the shipment for Rob, so he gets a break or something like that. My dad goes back to work tommorrow, haha, I laugh... yeah.....
Alright, I think I'll stop by teh LAN, I have Christmas gifts I need to drop off after all.
TUMEO.
Went out to a wonderful dinner at Zio's at 4:30pm. We talked a lot, ends up we might have been in Italy around the same time back in 2002.
My sister, Jen, bro-in-law, Rene, father and myself played Starfarers of Catan. We had a lot of fun, and naturally I won, I mean, I couldn't I!!! About to watch some Trigun with my sister, I got her hooked on it after the first few shows, now she has to know what happens to Vash the Stampede.
TUMEO.
Well, somewhat because of proding (though the proding gave up and I did it anyways), I asked a female out to eat and maybe a movie. Most likely this will be happening tommorrow. Unfortunatly she goes back to college on Monday, but you never know what the future holds.
It's crazy to think that the break is nearly over and I will be going back to classes on the 12th ::sigh:: Such as is life I suppose. I'm going to try real hard to talk to the Japanese instructor and try and get into the Japanese class, though I would want to take it pass/fail, as my previous experiences have not proven to be too great for me in my endeavors towards the foreign tongues. I think that with pass/fail I wouldn't worry as much about getting a grade, and would, therefore, actually learn more... actually I would learn period because of that. Well, we will see.
I have to get back to work now, though. Time to count down cash drawers, then paperwork, then home.
TUMEO.
It's Two Thousand and Four!!! Yeppie, and stuff.
Today was not only New Years morning, but Christmas morning. Confused? My parents were back now, so when we woke up we opened the rest of the Christmas presents. Then we watched what we had recorded of all the other Christmas present opening.
I work today, good old inventory night. I also changed the tax rate last night. That's right all you Tulsa area folks, all your taxes are about 0.5% higher, what used to cost 5.50 now costs 5.53
In the process of setting the new tax rate, I had to call Radiant and get the ALL-SUPREME-PASSWORD-AND-LOGON, the password is based upon the date and time, so I will try and figure out the calculation that figures out the password based off of that.
Alright, I need to be getting to work, which I work until 2am, though I'll probably get out sooner than that.
TUMEO.
