Yeppie

Well, thanks to me needing a video camera for speech class, I'll be going to pick it up from my mom, who is in Texas. I don't mind though, let's me see my sister and two nephews, and possibly John (bro-in-law) if he's not working. It also means I'm about to go to sleep in a few seconds because I'll be waking up somewhat early.... actually a lot early for me, so I can drive down and be back still at a decent time. That's all for now.

Fire!!!!

A small bit of excitement happened at work last night. I got there around 5:30pm and was do my usual routine, then went to the back office and was talking to Rob. We got a call from box office saying that a jogger came up and it looked like there was a grass fire on the south east corner of the building. Rob and I got up and walked out of the office heading for the back door. Before we even opened it I could smell smoke from a fire. Sure enough, there was a grass fire, it wasn't on our property, but just behind it. I called the fire department and the came out pretty darn quick and got it put out. Almost liked like it was going to catch a few nearby trees on fire too, fortunatly they got there soon enough. WE then went and reviewed our cameras to see if they caught anything. Sure enough, a kid on a bike rode up and went to the area. Then at 6pm you see him riding off on his bike and the smoke starting to bellow forth.

So tired right now, I didn't get much sleep yesterday, and whereas I got 7 hours last night, the lack from the previous night is still lingering, so I think I'm about to go take a nap.

Well, there is CJ too

I have a new nephew, Chistopher James Mullen. He's a friendly little baby boy that's good at keeping my sister and mother awake between 11pm and 4am. Another bundle of joy to hold in my hands ^^

7 days later

It has been 7 days since I posted an update. It was Spring Break, what did you expect!?!?!?!?!?!

Well, Spring Break is gone, and now the pains of going to class have continued. Just got done with my 3 classes I have today. So I can now attempt to relax at least a little bit.

I tried getting steam up and running, but apparently someone (possibly myself back in the steam beta) has my cd-key registered, so I can't install counter-strike with my own login information. And since steam sucks, and can't seem to send out e-mails very fast (their automatic server e-mail with a code thing took 6 hours + to send me the code), I'm sure the e-mail I sent to support won't get answered for 6 days +.

Might be playing Unreal Tournment 2004 a bit now. At least that one I can play with teh Erik.

My hard drive in my Gbox is bad, that or it is the motherboard, but I'm guess it is the hard drive. I'll be ordering one I guess, sigh, such an annoyance.

Nothing else to say, except college won't be over soon enough........ oh, I did my taxes, I owed federal 36 bucks, and stated owed me 1 buck, yeppie.

Early Morning Mechanix

This morning I was awoken very early in the morning (8:30AM) by my lovely sister Emily, as she wanted me to change the oil in her car. I was like PUH, b/c that marked me having slept for only 4 hours at that point in time. I decided to actually be nice and go and do it. I started off by attempting to take of the bolt that would allow me to drain out the oil. I knew this was going to be a pain in the neck, since it was last changed by the people over at FireStone, so it was tightened on there like no other. I used the lovely 11/16th wrench around the bolt and start to hammer away at it with a hammer to loosen it like I do on mine. Well, on mine, it had been loosened by a correct 17mm wrench initially after firestone got their grubby paws on it, so whereas the 11/16th works fine on mine, it was a little, very tiny tiny, bit too loose on my sisters. The bolt got a tiny bit "stripped", but nothing bad, so I told my mom that I needed a 17mm wrench because the 11/16" wasn't cutting it. Unfortunatly even after hammering away with the correct size, that fit nice and snug on the bolt, it still wouldn't budge. Partially because the bolt was stripped just enough to make the wrench hammer loose and not stay on it like it should. ::sigh::

In the process of hammer, I ended up hitting the top of my left pinky finger ever so slightly. Not hard enough where it really hurt from the impact, but the impact did cause some skin to peel off from my finger, just the annoying kind of peeling though, nothing bad. I ended up pouring some hydrogen peroxide on it (as my sister told me to, her being a nurse) then some good ol' neosporin and a sparkly silver bandaid. Yeppie.

See, Erik, Token, Adam, I can work on a car too........ sorta...

Being Kind

What? I haven't posted a lot this month? Yes I have, I've just hidden the posts for a few of the days, see if you can try and find them, they are quite a good read!

So, on Friday, I was in the process of packing my car, so I was walking out to my car with my computer tower in my hand, and I held open the door for an oriental gentleman who was pushing what seemed to be two heavy suitcases (one with wheels and the other stacked on top of it). He wasn't having much luck getting it through the door at one point either, and had that quiet embarrassed air that seem to come with people from the "east". Anyways, he finally got it out the door, and was pushing it along the side walk. I had already gotten my car and parked it next to the side walk in the loading zone for easy packing, and set my computer tower down next to my car as he was passing infront of me. He stopped and asked me something, but I couldn't quite get what he was saying, as is accent was getting in the way slightly. I finally figured out, after thinking he was talking about getting to a car, that he was asking me for a lift to the building that could be seen across the way. Since his luggage seemed heavy, and my car was packed much yet, I thought, why not, don't think he will kill me in the short trip that it would take. So i loaded up his two suitcases into my car and drove him over to the place. He was from China, and had taken a 15 hour flight over here. I'm still not sure what he was doing here, whether he was taking classes or something else altogether. That was my niceness for the day on Friday.

Then I drove home... well, I drove to Tulsa, then hit highway 169, and proceded to Owasso to help down the "game circles" at the Owasso Highschool Gym where I will be "line judging" or officiating at tommorrow. Fun times, oh yeah. Anyways, it's late, and games await, though I can't play too late, since I have to wake up at 7~7:20am. I'm off to the LAN at JayJay's, going to drop off my computer monitor there, maybe use it as a place holder, since I won't be moving my actual computer over there until Sunday night once I get off from work.

Tis late

It is late, just got to my house from after work. About to start the long drive back to Stillwater for the 2 classes I have.

The battery in my wrist watch finally died, as I knew it was about to, but unfortunatly, even though I predicted its death before hand, I failed to get the replacement for it ahead of time. Happens when you are busy and stuck at school. Now I just have to pry the back end off the watch, or unscrew or however it is constructed, in order to figure out what kind of watch battery my watch actually takes. Yes, that's the excitment of my life, my watch!

Spring Break is just about here!! I don't even work that much, but still enough. Ok, I really need to start driving, parking is hard enough as it is.

Splint Away

Last night I decided to remove my splint finally and to stop wearing it, as it had been a little more than a week since I had started to wear it. I might have worn it too long, though in truth, I didn't start wearing it soon enough (2 weeks after I should have). Of course, I didn't postulate that I might have broken that knuckle until a full week later, at which point I really should have seen some doctor some where about it. I definatly broke it, as I can feel weird bone plancement around my knuckle. It seems fully healed now, however, but hurts just a little if i fully bend that knuckle, so I tend not to at this point in time. I have a nice little bump between the first "bend knuckle" and the actual "knuckle" on your hand. It is just slightly off from the "bend knuckle" and I do not enjoy the feel of it at all. There might be a strangeness infront of the "bend knuckle" as well, but I think that one is a more normal thing, as I sort feel it on my other knuckle. But enough about that.

Spring Break is almost here, but not close enough, and I fear it won't be long enough either. I will, most likely be working for a large portion of it, so not much free time to play games or spend time with friends. I know there will be a Spring Break LAN, and at the very least I will be making a few appearances, and if I can manage it, bring over my computer. Hopefully we can play some UT2k4 over teh LAN, even though I haven't really played it at all yet.

I do realize I missed two days of posting. I missed Saturday, which seems to be par for the course all of last month, and Sunday, well, I just let that day get ahead of me.

the amazing race

There I was, in the midst of trying to get back to my dorm room whilst I carried my freshly purchased cheeseburger and fries in a paper sack. I clutched dearly to the white paper sack, as it held the substance that my stomach was calling and roaring for at that exact moment. Then, out of no where, a woman came up beside me, walking quickly in a determined manner. It was then that I realized that I could not let this woman pass me, for the contents in my paper sack would surly spoil at this horrible loss. I immeaditly begun to keep up pace, my long legs giving me the freedom to take fewer steps then her. She begun to pull ahead, and I realized that her slick power walking attire was giving her an advantage over the wind as it blew 1 MPH directly at us. I quickened my pace slightly and managed to pull into the lead just in time, as she veered off to the right, taking a different path, clearly recognizing me as the victor and giving up all hope of beating me. It wasn't, however, until I reached the saftey and security of my dorm room and had opened up my white paper sack, removing the contents therein, that I breathed a sigh of relief, and begun to partake in the goodness of food.

Weekend is here, freedom and fun to ensue. That is all.

Tests are done

All done taking the two tests I had today. I think I faired well on both. The first test was really annoying because it envolved a lot of writing, and as I am still wearing my splint, it makes writing quite difficult, even more so than typing. That was my c programming test. I'm pretty sure I got an A on it. My psychology test, well, not sure what I got on that, maybe a B, possibly an A. The nice thing was, after the psychology test, I walked outside where it had been so cloud and raining, and the sun was showing itself through the clouds and the rain had stopped. The sun was in the process of setting, though, so didn't get to see it too long. It was quite refereshing to walk outside after a test and see the sunlight sparkling around the clouds, and the blue sky where some clouds were no longer.

I'll get to relax this comming weekend, nothing that I have to do. I might just end up sleeping a lot, that will be nice, oh so very nice.

Just got done playing a little of Joe's awesome new mud he is working on. I got lost, and since I was a dragon (yeah, that's right, I can be a dragon, that makes the game #1 already), I got to irritable and just quit. I'll go back in in a little bit, need to understand the game a bit more before I start ~_^

Well anyways, laziness to be done, gotta go.

Content

So, I try to post everyday, but when I post, is there any real content to my posts? Rarely, but then again, how exciting can a life at college be when I'm unexcitied about being here.

Tommorrow I will be doing something that I very rarely do, that of waking up early! I know, crazy. It's so I can get to the reslife office around the time it opens and turn in my housing for next school year. First come first serve policy tends to happen with this, so earlier the better. I will hopefully be getting a suite this coming year with Zach from work, which will be nice, as I can feel the cold air seeping through my "closed" window right now.

I have 2 lovely tests tommorrow, the joy that brings inside my heart I cannot expound upon fully..... psychology and programming. Joy to the world.

My comfort at the moment lies in the fact that I am consuming a "blizzard", reese's pieces, peanut butter, vinalla icecream mix thingy. Not the best I've ever had, but nice none the less.

Acid Refulx

I wasn't goign to post today, but I guess I will, I still have 4 minutes after all. Been researching up on acid reflux disease and stuff, so much fun. Lots of medical jargon that stinks, but a few nicer sites. Get to do a 5 minutes speech tommorrow about it, so I suppose I should have something to say.

    Back to making speech, bye.

Lazy

I'm being very very very very very very lazy of late. I just don't want to do anything. Blarg, and I hate typing right now, bad splint, BAD.

Tommorrow I get to gather lots of facts for a speech, and then make some presentation aids for it.... not very exciting. The classes I hate most are the ones I have to do work outside of class for, unfortunatly that's a lot of them.

I think I'm going to take a nap.....
