Irony, I know thy name

So I went to church today at Countryside Baptist here in Stillwater. It is not too far away, and I have been before. Today he talked about First Samuel and the Phillistines and such, but, here's the ironic part. The Phillistines took the arc of the covenant, and because of that, God, amoung other things, have them "tumors". This word, however, in the orginal greek translates into "Hemorrhoids". I keep running into reminders on TV and now even in church of things relating to my pain. Fortunatly it is non-existant (the pain) now, so yaya.

Not much else going on, I will be heading to Tulsa tomorrow so I can vote on Tuesday in Tulsa. There might have been more I was going to say, but I can not think of anything right now.

NINJA!!!!111

http://one-eyedfred.com/Misc/Ninja/PPBB.gif

This is where I would normally say, "That is all" and cop out from putting more content (even though that did take time and effort to make), but, I have a few other things to say.

First, my friend, Adam, has, in a suprise move, started to update his site. I was amazed when I noticed today... Ironically though, it wasn't me that noticed, but my Canadian friend, Jay, who noticed and mentioned it to me when we were talking on the phone a few minutes ago. I was like, yeah, he doesn't ever update his site, to which Jay said, yeah, he says "i don't like to update" and continued to talk about it, and I was confused and went there and saw a whole new page. It is crazy, I didn't know adam used his computer for something other than FFXI ~_^ (j/k).

The ninjas, well, that is just one of them that I messed with today. That is just 63 different images, and the small version. I might add sound effects and put it as an .avi, but that is something to mess with later. I need to get silly putty, or something sticky that I can put on the bottom of their feet, masking tap just doesn't cut it, and makes it very very hard to move the legs properly, part of the reason his standing up and bowing wasn't that great. Anyways, that is just a test run, might get an actual fight made soon, but I need that silly putty.

Dang it, I had something else to say, but now I can not remember what it was.... hmmmmm. Oh yeah, I watched Shark Tale and Team America on Monday. I enjoyed both, and laughed a lot at Team America. I like how all the foreign places they were at they made to look how most Americans think of them instead of how they actually are. It was interesting watching an interview of the creators prior to seeing the movie, I had to be on the channel for MTV to see it though, but I lived.

This weekend, my roomie went home, but he was the last to use the shower. I got in the shower and turned it on, he had left it for the water to come out of the shower head instead of the bathtub faucet, so I was hit by very very cold water.

An update on my "condition". It is a lot better and hardly even hurts now, treatment is still ongoing and unpleasant, speaking of which... it's time for my pill.

A-Kon 16 and SCREAM!!!

The part of my post today that will concern the "SCREAM!!!" in the title will be posted last, as it deals with something that not everyone may wish to read, just a forewarning if you will.

First, I would like to talk about A-Kon 16, which is nearly 8 months away. However, if you register before 31st, you are entered into a chance to win free hotel rooms, and it is 32 bucks if you register before December, t-shirts are 18 bucks. Go register HERE if you feel the need! Though, if we, on one order, have 10 or more tickets, there is 15% off... so maybe we should talk about that as well.

Another thing, I got Serious Sam for the Game Boy Advance the other day. I have not played a lot of it, but gotten through 3 levels so far. It is fun, but not the best port onto the Game Boy, kinda like that review says. It is really hard to control, thankfully it has a somewhat minor auto aim, mainly because you can not aim up and down, just side to side control. It is fun, and I would love to see it as multiplayer, gotta check to see if you need a game in each game boy or just one. I have not read the booklet yet, so there might be a few more control features I am unaware of.

**DISCLAIMER** The following part of this post might not be something everyone wants to read, it has to do with the Rectum, and more specifically, my rectum.

I have, since about Sunday, had lots of anal pain, mainly when I had a bowel movements. The pain was, and is currently, concentrated to a specific location. I have had minor pains similiar to this that have gone away in a day or two, but this pain was more severe and has remained. I decided to go to my doctor (yes, it hurts enough for me to want to see someone that will probably be sticking something up my butt), so I setup an appointment for today. I called this morning when I woke up and got it scheduled for 2:15pm. Well, I got it checked out, and apparently I have rectum tearing. Basically, the doctor said, one of two things happened. I had a large bowel movement (as he said, I just call it poop, but whatever, that sounds better) that strained the muscle and caused it to spasm and then burst/break/rupture, or I might could have had a hemorrhoid that ruptured and then "scabbed over" and was bothered. Most likely the muscle thing though, I mean, it makes sense, I am so strong, I just over used my muscle.

Anyways, so he came back in and told me he got me some pills.... some SUPPOSITORY pills to be more exact. Yeah, oh joy for me when I heard that! 2 times a day for 15 days it would seem. He also recommended baby whipes, and that actually sounds like a good idea. I have not yet gotten to see the size of the pill, my father was out getting the prescription filled, and 3:30 hit, so I went on to work. I'll take some pictures later of the pills maybe, and post them, I am sure everyone wants to see it.

Well, that is all, and I guess you might understand why I titled part of the post "SCREAM!!!".

Baby Turley

Well, I knew Brad & Jackie's baby was being birthed when it was happening because of a voice mail, but I never could get ahold of Brad to find out the details, finally he got ahold of me on AIM. Kathryn Elizabeth Turley was born on Saturday October 16th, 2004 at 10:29am Central Time. She wieghed in at 8 pounds 14 oz. and 21 1/4 in long. It is crazy having some of my friends married, much less having a baby, Brad a father now, crazy times. Congrats and good luck with raising a newborn, they can be tough at times! Hope you can get some sleep!

In other news, my friend JT turned 23 today. I have not talked with the Billingslys in a long time, being away at college and such, but happy 23 to you JT.

School news: I had a test today, well I had 2 tests today, but I got my stuff together and was there early so I could sit down and look over stuff for last last last minute, and was reminded it was open book/note test, and I was like, well no problem. I looked at my notes, and I grabbed the wrong ones! I ran all the way back to my room, grabbed the notes and ran back, and man, am I out of shape! I didn't actually run the "whole way" but ran in spurts. Anyways, I got back to the room with 8 minutes into the start of class. I was also the first one done. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. Both tests I feel I did well on, just not completely sure how well.

That's all I got for now, Congrats to Brad and Jackie and happy b-day to JT.

Zombies... X!

One of my friends in Final Fantasy XI was talking to me about a shockwave flash player movie that he that was really interesting called Xombie. There are 5 chapters out right now. Oh, it was Rikki that told me about it.

Nothing much else going on, about to buy some tickets to head to that crazy placed in Canada called Vancouver where my looney friend, Jay lives. Going to visit him for awhile in December before Christmas.

Penny-Arcade is doing Child's Play again this year, only a little bigger, covering 5 different children's hospitals in the nation.

I have 2 tests and a paper due on Wednesday, so study study tomorrow.

Canadians!!!!

Those crazy canadians, and from Vancouver too, this is all your fault Jay!!!!! You might recall the Ninjas I was talking about in my previous post. Well, I went ahead and purchased them, and got to the shipping part, where the cheapest was 2-3 weeks, that's right, WEEKS. I was like, what the heck. The step up was still 6-8 days, and the most expensive was 4-5 buisness days. I saw that they used postal and was like, I do not remember our postal being THAT bad. So finally it went all through, and it was then that I realized the company was out of Vancouver, and therefore, CANADIAN, which also meant, Canadian post. Did not realize your post office sucked that much Jay, shesh, you have the mounties carry mail on horseback or something?

So... be expecting some possible movies in the near future (well, gotta wait half a month to a MONTH before I get them....). I'll grab Joe and we will got some sweet choreographing going for some fight scenes. I hope to have a lot of fun with this.

I saw Ladder 49 last night. Wow, I think there was a leak in the roof, because water kept falling right under my eyes. Yeah, I teared up a few times, definatly not a movie for my sister, Jennifer, to see. I definatly recommend that you watch it, it is worth the money, if you pay that is. I have always respected firemen, I mean, I love to play with fire, but to have to fight fires that you do not have "as" much control of, that is a pretty tough job. Did I say I like to play with fire... I mean... fire is bad, do not mess with fire.

That's all I got for now.

Ninjas and Spam

Ninjas and Spam you ask? Not THAT spam, THIS spam. Though, back to ninjas.

So, I was reading one of the online comics I like, Real Life, and I saw a link he has to a place called Split Reason. I went there, and saw this ninja which TOTALLY got me thinking. I could make some really interesting fight scenes between two of these guys, getting one that is the black version and one that is the blue. THEN, I was like... a movie... with legos that uses these ninjas. I really should start making my little films again, I have not in so long, and I always enjoyed it. Anyways, one ninja is only 9.95, which is not very much, so I think I will be purchasing two of them, what do you guys think?

Now, onto the spam I was talking about. My friends over at OEF Network have been having a lot of problems with spam bots posting on the blogs, so much so that JayJay made a small program that gets rid of it. Well, I found someone here on Potter Fam, 2 posts on my blog, and 1 on Laura's blog. I haven't checked the others yet, but I was going to today, I mean, as much fun as having adds for penis enlargers and the likes is, I would rather remove them. One way to ensure against this is, if you go to manage your weblog, and under "Weblog config" go to preferences and then comment configuration, you can check the option to have an e-mail sent to you whenever you receive a comment on one of your posts. This way, whenever someone posts on your weblog, you get an e-mail that says who it is and what the comment is, and if you get one of the spams, you will know, and can tell me so I can delete it, or you can delete it yourself by editing that entry and selecting to delete the comment.

I suppose that is all for now, off to play some computer games and relax some.

Rip Offs!

I showed Erik this Blue Hippo deal the other day when I saw it yet again on a commerical. It really drives me insane, because of how much of a rip-off it is. They provided financing without asking about credit so you can get a computer. That is nice and all, and you can pay it off in 12 months for only 35 bucks... a WEEK. That equals 140 a month, and 1820 in a year. This computer is, from rough guessing, worth maybe 400 bucks. To make it even worse is... well, I'll quote it:

Since we don't check your credit, we do ask that you build a short credit history with us by making 3 months worth of payments before we ship the computer. It's that simple.

so, you end up paying 420 bucks before you can even get the computer, and that is about what it is worth, how nice for them!

Yeah, so anyways, I experienced another rip-off on Thursday before heading in to work. I got up and went to take a shower. I had shampoo all in my hair and was finishing up getting soap on my body when the water out of the shower suddenly went from full spray down to barely falling out in a matter of seconds. There I was, covered in soap and shampoo with practically no water flow. I made the water come out of the bathtub faucet part and waited a little bit hoping the water pressure would come back. After a few moments, I crept over to the door, cracked it open and ask Zach to hand me a cup. I finished my shower by waiting for the cup to fill up then pouring it over my head. It was so much fun. Zach told me the water came back on a few hours later.

Celebrated my parents birthdays yesterday. My dad is 57 and my mom 56. Had some nice cake and I gave them the gifts I got them. My little nephew, Kyle, handed all the cards and presents to them one by one, it was cute.

That is all for now, later.

October 07, 2004

Nearly 2 weeks

So... It has been almost 2 weeks since I posted anything. Been going threw my cycles of bleh mood for a couple of days. The 4th, Monday, was my father's birthday and tommorrow is my mom's birthday, so Happy Birthday to them. Anyways, been meaning to post since around the 28th on Tuesday, so I'll start with what I had written down on paper for posting and move on from there.

On Tuesday, September 28th, I drove over to Tulsa for a birthday party. The party was for Adam and technically for me as well, a combined party if you will. See, my birthday was back on the 12th of September, but since I was often busy and running back and forth between Stillwater and Tulsa, I said then that since Adam's birthday was soon we could just have a joint celebration. Anyways, Tuesday, around 7pm we went to CiCi's Pizza, then headed to Fun House, and ended up at "teh apartment" for some awesome cake and gift giving.

Before all this happened, however, I arrived at Tulsa with my mom having arrived just a few minutes/hours earlier with my nephews. I had a few hours until I was going to head to Best Buy to meet up with Erik, Tara and Joe, so I played with my nephews for awhile, running around outside with Kyle, pushing a train around, holding CJ and other such things. It's amazing how quickly they seem to grow.

After messing with the nephews, I went and picked up Joe and off to Best Buy. Spent a long time trying to figure out what the heck to get that red haired boy. Finally we got presents bought, including Joe "sneakily" buying me my present while we were there, and headed to Cici's to meet the others. Tina, Adam, Tara, Erik, Token, Joe and myself all enjoyed some CiCi's goodness followed by some Fun House goodness. Lots of playing, including ownage by me on basketball (except verus Joe [he cheated or something]), air hockey and the Alligator biting game. Token made an awesome cake selection, i twas white cake with really really good chocolate icing (you remember what type of icing it was called Token?). Opening, or rather, handing of presents happened. Adam got some movies, two t.v. show seasons and Chains of Promanthia expansion (can not remember if there was more). I got Snatch, Season 1 of Samurai Jack and a gift card to GameStop. All great gifts, and thank you to everyone, it was much fun!

A few things have happened since then, but I will post that tomorrow and give people a chance to read this, I guess.
