Short Down Time

Some of you, like Erik, might have noticed that PotterFam.com was down on Sunday (28th) and Monday (29th). The server I have it hosted on was up for renewal, and I hadn't updated my credit card with the new experation date, so it didn't get auto-renewed. Everything is back to normal now though.

I am considering trying out a new "blog service" then Movable Type. Movable Type moved on to version 3.0, and with it, a pay system, which is why it hasn't been updated on this site, or my friends. Well, there is a site (interesting read) out there that I ran across that mentioned WorldPress. My biggest concern is having to have some people learn a new system, as some people are not as adapt at doing that. But it might be better in the long run. Anyways, something for people to think about.

So, my nephew, Kyle, saw his first movie, Polar Express on Wednesday night. He seemed to enjoy it a lot, and managed to stay quiet through most of the movie. At the end of the movie, they were off of the train for a period of time (he really likes trains), and finally the train showed back up, so he stood up and raised his arms and said, "Allll aboooard" a few times. Then the train started moving, and he turned around and said, "I did it", clearly indicating that his calling out made the train move. It was cute. I believe he made his father call out all aboard as well.

Here's Kyle sitting down before the movie.

Here's Kyle's way of eating popcorn.

Both these pictures were taken with the "night mode" option on my cell phone.

That about wraps it up for now.

Update On Spammers

After doing a very quick look through all the other blogs on PotterFam.com, I found a lot of spam posts, some of them quite old, but EVERYONE had some. I just skimmed through the recent comments to find the several I deleted. My parents seemed to have the most. Tomorrow, after I hit Tulsa, I'll look through all the old entries and see if I can find some more. I'll have to show everyone how to delete them and set it up so they are notified of new comments.

The Day Has Arrived

Well, it has finally happened. Just got hit by the blog spammers. 9 comments all at once. Deleted them fairly quickly using the "5 most recent comments" under manage your weblog. Just clicked on each of the new comments, then deleted it, then rebuilt the website after I deleted all 9 of them. About to go check all my other family's blogs to make sure they weren't hit too.

One more day left of classes, all the way until 5:15pm, then drive off to Tulsa for Thanksgiving. I managed to get the entire Holiday off from work (except for Thursday [the evening OF Thanksgiving], as that is inventory night), so I'll be able to spend lots of time with my family. This is the first time since my two oldest sisters got married that they will both be up at the same time for a Holiday during the Holiday. Anyways, hopefully I will have a Christmas list up for that famed "shopping after Thanksgiving" day.

Ok, time for sleep, wake-up, classes.

ATTACK!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! We are under attack, run away!!! Well, actually, when I say we, I mean my friends are. Texas Hold 'em spammers have been hitting them hard these last few days. I've seen a post a day on each for 3 days so far. It's crazy, and we are all going to die!!!! I am so hyper right now.

That last sentence in the pervious paragraph was TOTALLY a lead in to this paragraph.

Now see, all that is before this was what I HAD typed a few nights ago, but because of my hyperness, I was pressing keys to quickly and managed to hit the "ctrl" key along with the "shift" key and "w" key; since "ctrl" + "w" closes a browser window (or tab), I closed the window I was typing in, thus losing all the work I had done. What is above is a rough guess at what I typed, it is pretty close and gets the same jest of it.

So, to continue what I was saying, and say it in an attempt to represent the same level of hyperness (though slightly artifical) to convey what I wanted that night.

. . . TOTALLY a lead in to this paragraph. There I was, in my chair, talking to Adam on AIM and I told him I was sleepy, and was probably going to take a nap. But then, get this, then I NEVER TOOK THAT NAP. Yeah, I know, TOTALLY CRAZY. Instead, yep, INSTEAD, I ended up deciding to head over to the on-campus "grocery" store. On my way, instead of just walking straight, I TOTALLY walked zig-zag all the way there, thus making my walk LONGER. And, and, on the way, I called some of my friends and TOTALLY told them what I was doing. I called Adam, but he TOTALLY ended up hanging up on me after I told him I was walking zig-zag. Then I TOTALLY called Nick and told him what I was doing. That was a TOTALLY awesome conversation. Then I called Erik, but he TOTALLY didn't answer the phone. He ended up, OH WAIT WAIT WAIT, I called Nick AFTER I called Erik, not before, but yeah, Erik ended up calling me later, see, I mentioned Nick because I remembered talking to him right up to when I was entering the store, and Erik called me back, he was busy, and his new phone doesn't seem to have a silent button on it. Yeah yeah, so he called me as I was on my way back, and I was TOTALLY zig-zagging on my way back too. It was TOTALLY awesome.

So that was my hyper day. I have been somewhat generally hyper for a few days, coming in spurts that last awhile. I've also been in a generally good mood, and I've always claimed that my hyperness is based on me being in a good mood and not sugar, so that's not too suprising.

I haven't updated in awhile, I've meant to since around the 10th, but kept putting it off and getting distracted. The internet is going off and on right now up at OSU, lousy network people here suck, ug, if I can't get good internet why are my parents paying for me to live on campus at all!!! =P

Got a new phone, the motorola v220, and my service is now switched over to Cingular instead of AT&T. It looks like I can no longer call Canada for free like I could with AT&T though. The phone seems fine so far, but I'm still thinking about taking it back and getting another one. The Sony Ericsson looks really nice, just not totally sure yet, got 12 more days to make up my mind though.

That's all I'll post for now, well, I'll post this as soon as the internet comes back on...... it's 9pm now, let's see when that happens.

All Gone!!

On Saturday evening, I extinguished my supply of pills. That was a cause for joy. Yeppie, freedom. Just have one thing to say... gotta love directions, especially simplistic pictorial drawings:

RectalUseOnly.jpg
Anyways, not much else exciting has happened. Found a trailer that looks like it MIGHT be good. Just a note to Erik, it is from the same guys of Ninjai, the little Ninja, so don't be expecting it out any time soon... or maybe ever.

Still rolling through my classes, waiting for them to be over. 5 more weeks and then finals.

I doubt that many of my friends aren't already aware, but the USA started its attack on Falluja today. Saw some footage of bombing and such before I headed out to my classes today.

I went to the AWANA program at Countryside Bible on Sunday evening. Helped out, there was a kid who I listened to that did 2 sections and finished his book that night. His parents requested to get copies of the book in Russian and Spanish so he can say them in those languages as well (don't know who he will say them to though). Pretty bright kid, this is a 4th grader basically.

    Well, that's all for now.

Number 484

Just got done voting about 30 minutes ago. I was number 484 according to the machine for my district. I don't feel like saying who I voted for, maybe later, but meh, not really anyones buisness.

Not too much else going on, about to head over to my old stoomping grounds at TU and eat lunch with Erik and Adam.

On another note, the spammers have been hitting blogs again, so if you haven't already setup your blog to e-mail you when you get a comment, I would highly recommend it. If you need to know how, or just want me to set it up, just let me know.
