Stuff happened

Well, stuff has happened since I last posted. I keep letting it get longer and longer between posts, oh well.

I've got my two nephews visiting, oh yeah, and their parents too. They came in last night. Today has been a slow day, the females are out shopping, what a suprise, and the males are just around the house.

Yesterday, at 8am, I helped administer a black belt test. It was pretty rough on the canidates, just like it should be. It was a good time though, got to meet people and everyone did a great job. Joe fought in an open style martial arts tournament yesterday, and did an amazing job, so congrats to him. He's been studying Kung Fu. I forget the specific name/style of Kung Fu.

For those friends of mine planning to go to A-Kon 16, visit Jayjay's site and fill out the form so we can get some estimated costs as well as seeing who is planning on going. Most of you already have, but just incase.

I think that is about it for now.

Karate Tournament

Oh man, what a great karate tournament on Saturday. I got to see some of my old instructors from when I was going to Tulsa University. I ended up judge Kata (forms) for the 3-7 year olds and fighting for the 3-7 year olds and for the 8-9 year olds intermediates.

The second part of the day, I got to fight. Unfortunatly, in the 3 years of inactivity with karate caused me to pretty much completely forget my own katas. It's something I definatly want to work on and master. But anyways, after forms and weapon forms was the fighting. We seperated between light weight and heavy weight black belts. There were 10 light weight black belts. I won the first and second fight. The second fight was really close too, we ended up both having 1 point after 2 minutes and had to go into sudden victory. We were fighting it out, and then he threw a jumping spinning kick to my face, his foot landing right on my eye and nose, mainly my eye though. He hit too hard (obsessive count), and therefore a point was awarded to me. The 3rd fight was against a good 5th degree black belt. I managed to score some points against him, but he got more on me. I ended up with 3rd place. So people from my school got the fights recorded, and I should be getting a copy. When I do, I'll post a clip of my face getting owned.

    Anyways, playing games time.

All my Grades for Spring 2005

Well, not only did a get a 96 on my final in American Government (only needing a 94 to get an A in the class), I also got 20 extra attendance points (perfect attendence), which shot that 78 I got on the first exam (because I marked D's as C's) to a 98, basically. So yeah, I kicked that classes tail. 78, 90, 98, 96 plus 20 bonus.

So now I have 3 B's and an A for the semester, yeppie. 4 more weeks and it's summer class time. Not much else has been going on. Most likely buying Guild Wars at some point this week. It's kinda a hybred MMORPG, a mix between MMORPG's and Diablo 2 from what my friends have been saying. It looks really nice. No monthly fees, so even nicer.

I worked yesterday and had the joy of the power going out for an hour, oh so much fun. Ate with my mom for Mother's Day, then we watched some Murder She Wrote that my mom got for Mother's Day. Ended up seeing Andy Garcia in it. He was just a punk that tried to mug Jessica.

Anyways, time for a shower, then hopefully I'll be working on setting up my computer and start to copy the last of the files then completely re-install it.

Spring 2005 DONE!!!!

All my finals are done. I no longer have any Spring 2005 classes to attend. All I have left are 3 summer classes and 4 Fall 2005 classes, then freedom from grades!!!!

I realized that I needed to change from physics I to another science during the summer. See, I have to have two "science" classes, one with a lab. Currently I already have the science without a lab, and that's regular physics. So if I took physics again, but this time with a lab, I would still need a science without a lab. Anyways, I switch to Geology (yeah, there you go Dad =P). This course happens to be offered over the internet, which means I know have all 3 of my summer courses over the internet, which is good, b/c otherwise I'd miss a week of class when I went to camp.

Anyways, I got 3 hours to get everything packed and then vacumed and such, which will probably only take me... 30 minutes. Yay on having to wait for the floor person to be ready to check out rooms.

Second Final of Spring 2005 Done!

Well, my Buisness Law final is done as of yesterday. My roommate, Zach, and I finished it, so now I only have 2 more finals, both on Thursday. I'm doubtful I made the 104 that I needed to get an A in B-Law, but I definatly made the 74 to get a B. Today is no Exam day, so I'll relax some, but still going to go to karate tonight. There's a tournament on May 14th, I might go to it, not sure yet. It leads to nationals.

First Spring 2005 Final DONE

My first final, in American History, is now over. I need a 35 for a B and a 98 for an A. I know I didn't do well enough to get a 98, but I definatly have a B in the class. Tomorrow is Buisness Law final, yeppie.

Probably go to karate tonight for the last time until school starts up again.
