Just got a call from my dad with more update. I'll update you with the update I got before that 1st though. They got to the hospital and found out he had the "better" kind of stroke, a clot. Because of when he fell, and scrapped his head, they didn't want to give him a "clot buster", so they gave him some blood thinner. He gained back his mobility, and his speech wasn't as slurred. They kept him overnight. They were trying to figure out what caused the clot. Next day they were able to remove the clot, and he was doing better. His left side could move, but felt weakened. They figured he'd have to be doing physical theropy.
Today, they figured out what caused the clot. His heart was slowing down, taking longer between each beat. They had surgery and put in a pace maker. He is in intensive care right now, after the surgery, and will be moved. That's the current situation. I'll be going to Tulsa this weekend, so I'll be able to see him. No longer going to that Mazda Car event, but that was just to hang with friends anyways, now I get to save gas money? Heh.
My Grandpa just had what seems like a stroke. My mom called me about 30 minutes ago and let me know that he was on the way to the hospital. He was on the computer and fell out of his chair. He is able to talk, but has some motion problems. My dad was in the ambulance with him, and my mom was going to meet them at the hospital. Praying everything will be alright.
Man, I can't wait to see The Rock in Doom. I just watched the trailer after seeing a small peak on the tv. It looks like they are making it look game like, and might not be bad. October 21st eh?
Thanks Matty H: Dolphins for the Kill?
Not a whole lot going on right now. School, karate, working out. My friend Joe has, apparently, had appendicitis for the last 11 months, it ruptured, he had surgery. Thankfully he is alive, and back home. Wishing him quick recovery!
Well, I can't think of anything else, but at least I'm updating to let my friends know I'm alive since several of them are far away......
Oh yeah, so I'll be going to Norman this weekend, only so I can shuttle down to Dallas with some friends and go to this Mazda event where you get to drive their cars and do other neat stuff with test courses.

No, I'm not talking about retiring a profession, but an object. I'm sure I already know what my mother would say, but I'm curious what others might think. I've had my Ferrari hat for quite sometime now. I don't wear it because I like the car, but because my dad gave me the hat. Over the years I've even come to be "known" by the hat, easily recognized in a crowded space. I now have a laptop with Ferrari on it that so nicely matches the hat. Anyways, it is old, and starting to get more and more wear on it. I'm thinking of maybe "retiring" it. Of course, this would not be throwing it away. Maybe I could put it in a glass enclosure, with temp and humidity control too!!
So, if I WERE to do that, not that I for sure would, I would need another decorative piece to adorn my head in the absence of said hat. So what would I replace it with, a new Ferrari hat? Perhaps one of many hats I have back at my house? Or maybe a different type of hat. Hats, after all, are actually in existance to place shade over your eyes, at least, that was the orginal purpose, in my opinion. Whereas it is nice to have shade from such a sun, on the opposite end, a typical hat covers the part of the body that lets heat escape, thus un-enabling the escape of such heat. Maybe I should get a hat without a top? What to do, what to do... Leave a comment with what you think!
Well, other than that, 4 weeks of classes gone, 12 weeks left, 25% done!!! Semester is going well so far. Down to only countering 50 pounds of my weight when I do pull-ups and chin-ups. Alright, things to do.
TUMEO.
Well, my friend, Wes (who is over in New Orleans area with the National Guard), posted this thing, so I decided to take it for fun. Interesting results, I definatly wanted to be a ninja or pirate, so yeppie.
Thanks for those who wished me a Happy Birthday and such. I really need to get a document and write down all the birthdays of my family and friends. I pretty much have my family's b-day's memorized, except on my bro-in-laws, not for sure on them (of course I haven't been around them 23 years).
I guess I could mention the things I got. I got some (1)"sleeping pants", whatever you call them, with all the different mushrooms from nintendo games "Know your Mushroom". I got a (2)shirt from my eldest sister that she put the design on. It's got wolverine from the X-Men live-action movies, except she altered the face by putting my face on it. When you first look at it, you don't notice, a very good job. I got the dvd (3) 12 Monkeys, (4) Ong-bak, and (5) Samauri Jack: Season 2. I haven't actually gotten the last two dvds yet, they are at the house in Tulsa. I got some work-out items: (6) ankle weights up to 10 pounds on each leg and (7) weight lifting gloves (to use for doing pull-ups and chin-ups). My nephews got me (though reluctently let go of) a (8) wolverine action figure. I got to (9) spend time with my Grandpa. (10) I got a really big work-out bag, 3ft long (to carry my weapons). For some reason, I think I'm forgetting something, but that is what is coming to mind right now.
My legs muscles are tired right now from my work-out last night. I've already worked-out today. Monday I'll go down to only 50 pounds of counter-balance for my pull-ups and chin-ups. Depending on how that feels, I might jump down to just 40. My actually weight is still hovering around 168~170, but I can tell I'm a bit trimmer, so I've got some more muscle weight. When you first start working out, your muscles swell a lot, but I think I'm past that part, and now they are just growing, hopefully. Oh, I have been sick, which sucks, basically since Sunday/Monday. It's been affecting my work-out, right now it's just my sinuses and voice, but it's better, and I'm hoping will be gone by Sunday/Monday...
I have another thing I want to say, but... I'll post that on Monday. So below you'll see what I am!!

a Ninja You scored 10 Honor, 5 Justice, 6 Adventure, and 2 Individuality! |

You are a soldier of the night. You rely on no more than your cunning
and your repuation to strike fear in the hearts of lord and peasant
alike. You've a sense of honor, but one that comes from within, not
imposed from outside. Black clothes and shuriken for you. You're gonna do just fine. |

I am 23 years old now, twenty-three. Well, I suppose technically that won't happen until 11pm tonight, but still, 23rd birthday, older and older.
Just got off the phone with my mom, called to see about my dad and grandpa. They're over there at his house right now, it would seem. They've found a few things, and Grandpa's spirits are lifting because of it. Mom will post later with details about things they find. They're going slowly, sorting through stuff. Neither of them can lift heavy heavy things, so they might not be able to get to everything. I believe there is some china at the bottom of the cabnet that is still intact and unbroken, and his bed is still there with his pajamas folded on top. So, some suprising things, and hopefully more will come.
Well, I need to get into the shower, and then get to class. I did get an e-card from a girl I've been talking to, which is always nice.

I've let a week pass, so I suppose I should update. Not a whole lot going on, just classes, though, yeah for labor day weekend, because I basically only had wednesday this week for classes. I do have that 1 class on friday, but that's just one. Wrote my first two programs in the oh so complicated and difficult Visual Basic. Heh... advanced programming... yeah right...
I've been keeping up with working out, last week was a little messed up, so I missed two days. Karate is going well, looks like we'll be doing an after school program on Tuesdays at one center, and we'll find out for sure about another next week.
Well, my birthday is looming on the horizon. Next Monday, the 12th, 23 years old. Couldn't really think of a lot to ask for. I'll be going home this weekend for my party with my family, well, with my mom and dad, as everyone else has moved down to Texas these days. Let's see if I can drag Mom out to bowl or something!!
Alright, well, stuff to do, not a lot, but a little.

Nearly everyone is aware of the hurricane that has destroyed so much. My Grandpa Potter's house very near Gulf Port and Biloxi, you can see what the area looked like before Katrina. I went out on that peir many times, even with my sister when she threw the casting net over the side instead of holding onto the string. I wonder if it is still there at all. My granpa was in New York when the hurricane hit, so very thankfully he wasn't there. Below are the pictures of his house. His house, and the houses on either side of his are the only ones left on the street, from what I've been told.

This is the front of my grandpa's house. In the middle you can see what looks like a hallway or a doorway... that's where my grandpa's computer room was.

Here are debris all over his backyard.

This is the side/back view of my grandpa's house.

Here is the back of the house. What looks like it could be a garage on the right is where my grandpa's bedroom should be. You can also see a car with a pine tree smashed on top of it, managing to land inbetween the two houses instead of on them.
My prayers are with my grandpa right now. It could be several weeks before he is even able to get to the house to see what, if any, is still there.
As for me, well, I will definatly, without any problems, be walking in December of '05. The two classes I will have to complete after walking I can take at TCC. On Tuesday I will go and have a "graduation check" to ensure that I do have all the classes that I need. Then, in November, I'll get all the information about walking and such.
I'll be leaving for Tulsa on Friday. I have several things I need to do at the house. What I'm doing the rest of the week, I'm not entirely sure. I may be going back to Stillwater and camping with karate folks, and I am highly thinking of going to Norman and visiting several friends there. The biggest thing is the lovely gas prices, so I'm still not entirely sure.
I have to now get an e-mail written about what I want for my birthday, and to let my sister and mom know I posted this.
