So, I cried myself to sleep on Saturday night because of Nick Huber. On Saturday, I risked life and limb to go up to Norman to visit my friends during Bedlam. I could have died in that traffic, and those crazy fans. I stayed up there for over 3 hours, and what did Nick do? He took a "nap" and then went to the library. I was crushed!! Thankfully Erik and Tara rock. Erik cooked some pasta and we watched some Korean Sumo Wrestling. Fun times. Got to see their place. Next time I go up, maybe I'll get to see Nick's place, more than likely he'll just make me cry again. ~_^
On the way up to Stillwater yesterday, it was crazy windy. I wasn't thrown around too much, even in my super light car. A wal-mart semi wasn't so lucky. It was over on it's side and the top front was peeled back like a sardine can with a few boxes on the road. Not sure if it fell from the overpass above or just got blown over while driving. It didn't look bad enough to have dropped from above though.
My dad's harddrive crashed again, so now I think there's a problem with the harddrive itself. I got it hooked up to my computer up here, and check disk found several corrupted files and unreadable segments. Fun times. Shipping that off to Seagate tomorrow, as I'm heading down to Tulsa in a few minutes.
2 weeks left of school, that's it, just 2!!! Well, then a week of finals, but still. Working on a project for advanced MIS programming. Oh yeah, last night I ended up going to the Oklahoma City airport... man, it sucks. Horrible at providing information, and only one set of screens to check arriving/departure information that isn't even updated or correct... I went with my roommate so he wouldn't get lost (although he did take wrong turns even when I was pointing out they were wrong and the turn he wanted was up ahead, guess it's good I went). We picked up a Japanese friend of his who was coming back from California. Her flight out of Dallas ended up being delayed 2 or so hours because of the high winds, only 2 runways were open for take-off out of Dallas. Fun adventures!!
Anyways, that's about all for now, going to get ready to hit the road.

Took the CLEP at 12:30. They told me 3 hours 30 mins. It was basically 3 parts, well 2. One was 88 questions about sentences and junk like that. I needed a 53 on that in order to go on to writing of 2 essays. I got a 70. Finished that part with 40 minutes to spare. Each essay I had an hour to write, took about 30 minutes on each. They grade them really fast... not sure how... I need a combined score of 14 to get out of Comp II... I got 13. If I had known more about the format, or at least the grading of the essays, I might could have done better. Oh well... can't take the test again until May, so I might as well do the class at TCC. Sucks, because I basically took the test for no reason. And when I mean fast grading, literally after I finished I got the score.
That's about all for now, time to relax... and go to my one stupid class tomorrow.

I have ONE stinking class on Wednesday. I could be home right now, but nooooooooooooooooooo. Oh well, Thanksgiving is coming up, yeppie. I'll get to have my own bed, as the sisters are not coming up for thanksgiving, but instead all coming up for Christmas (which means no bed for me then...). Not counting this week, 3 weeks left!!! 2 weeks of classes, and then just 3 finals, yeppie! Tomorrow I'm going to go try and take the CLEP to get out of Comp II.
Also, the power of a Pool Staff(pool stick + bo staff, aren't I just so clever...). Not a whole lot else to report on. Shopped around for Auto Insurance, seems right now the lowest is State Farm with about 45~56 bucks a month. Only looked at Progressive, Geico and State Farm so far though.
Well, guess that's about it, nothing else coming to mind. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

So, a little funny, and since one of my sisters is a nurse, this is for her... since it somewhat has to do with a nurse...
The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street
(pronounced Peek-A-Boo) is not just an athlete...
she is now a nurse currently working at the Intensive
Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital. She is not permitted to answer the hospital telephones.
It caused too much confusion when she
would answer the phone and say --
Picabo, ICU.
(A good clean joke is hard to find these days --- pass it on! )
I have MY first car ordered. Yes, it's ordered. I won't get it for another 2~8weeks. They say 8, but most likely it'll be sooner than that. It's a Scion xA 2006. Time to start looking into Auto Insurance, fun fun. My credit is good, apparently. I got the "as low as" rate for my loan. The car costs 14,063, so it's not like I'm taking out a huge loan.
Going out with some friends tonight. Going to stop by a bar, guess who's the designated driver! Guess that's about it for now.

That is my diploma frame. I picked it up while at the "Grad Fair" on Tuesday. I also got my cap and gown as well as my graduation announcements. It's a pretty sharp looking frame. While I was there, I walked by the rings, and almost considered actually getting one, then I asked the price... definatly not even close to being worth $500.00!
I also got some information on testing out of one of the 2 remaining classes I'll need after this semester. I can CLEP out of English Composition II, I have to score fairly high on the test, because they don't actually have a seperate test for Comp I and Comp II. Plus I'd only get a "P" for a grade, which would neither help nor harm my GPA, though it would change my "B" that I got in Comp I into a "P". It would be nice to have only one class, but, well, we'll see.
3 1/2 weeks of classes, then 1 week of finals, 5 weeks (36 days) until it's all over for this semester! Still not completely sure what will be happening after that point. I'll be going to TCC in the Spring to finish up so I can get my diploma and be "officially" graduated. Right now it looks like I'll be doing odd work here and there for the theatre as they're getting things ready, probably have a talk here soon and find out if they have a more solid idea of when they might be taking me on full time. Karate is going well. There's a possiblity that I might open up a karate school in Tulsa eventually, but that, I think, is further down the road. A whole slew of things I have to start thinking about when I get done in December: Health Insurance, Car Insurance, Car, Income, Expenses, etc.
Well, anyways, that's about all for now, I need to get ready for a "lab" session for Data Communications class in an hour. It'll last up to 3 hours, so fun fun.

The demonstration at the church went pretty well. It wasn't a big turn-out from the youth group, and instead of going the 15-20 minutes, we ended up being the entire show since the youth pastor was ready to just send them home. They were pretty interested, and everything went as well as can be expected for very little prep time. The bo staff kata I did looked pretty good, wish we had had more time to practice, but it looked good, even though I know I messed a few things up here and there. I got to do front rolls on asphalt, but I didn't them just right, so it didn't cause me pain. My back muscles were all tight from the 2 days before though. That was from about 10pm to midnight-thirty.
Next day was the test. Woke up around 9am (after finally going to bed about 3am), had myself some boiled eggs and headed over to the meeting place so we could carpool down to Pawnee for the test. I arrived at the test, ready to be part of the board to administer the test, and got the "special suprise" along with the other instructors that we were going to be tested as well, not for belts, but are abilities as instructors to execute the test and the abilities of the students being tested to perform (which says something of our abilities to train them prior to the test). This was why the Master Instructor had pulled out of coming to all the classes at the Dojo and letting the Senior Instructors (myself and another) and the Instructors take a more pro-active roll in things. The purpose behind this is to get us into the USMA as official instructors, which requires what he did, then submitting it to an examiner who will then test us and such. Basically, it means I went from simply helping out with the test, to actually running the test. It was a good experience. My back was bothering me a lot by the end of the test, lots of standing and running around to make sure things were going correctly adds up, plus the front rolls and previous annoyances. I feel I might have taken too much charge, maybe, I am one of the Senior Instructors, and of the two of us, I have been a black belt longer, but he has lots of experience as well, I just wanted to make sure things went correctly... my perfectionism kicked in I suppose.
The test went great, and all of the students did wonderfully, so I'm glad. Knocked the wind out of two of the testees, my round kicks always manage to land in just the right place to make the guys drop to the floor, I don't actually mean to do this, I am hitting them, mind you, and pushing them, but it happens, you don't quite breathe out in time, and of course, that solar plexus can be quite troublesome when hit. Helps build character and see how far they can push themselves though!
My back is feeling a lot better today, been putting ice packs on it the last few days, and took a long hot shower today, so my muscles have finally loosened up. Been relaxing for the most part, going to tackle a little homework here after awhile.
Late last night, my roommate and I went to Wendy's to get some food. When he paid, and was handing the window guy the money, the window guy said, "Have a GREAT evening", really emphasizing the 'great'. I was thinking it was sort wierd, or the guy was really energetic or something. Then Matt, my roommate, told me what he did while he was handing the guy the money. He grabbed the money be placing his hand around Matt's and then pulling it slowing across his skin to take the money. Looks like the guy had the hots for Matt, hahahahahahahahaha, woooo, I was laughing for quite awhile after he told me, not going to let him forget that one for awhile!!
That's all for now.

Tonight at about 11pm, I'll be helping with a karate demonstration at the Stillwater First Baptist Church. It's their 5th quarter thing, and it's for after a game for the youth. It'll be a 15~20 min demo. I'll be breaking bricks and doing a bo staff kata where 4 people will actually be attacking me, at least that's the plan as of right now. I'll be doing this on asphalt, and I will be doing front rolls, so that should be fun.
Last night when we were practicing, I slipped up on one of my rolls, ended up getting a big knot/bruise on my back. I put ice and such on it, it's nearly gone, doesn't actually hurt, but it's annoying. Tomorrow is a karate test that I'll be on the board for, been a pretty long week for me, preping students, organizing for the demo, I should be able to relax after the test on Saturday though.
I can't remember if I've mentioned it before or not, but there is an actual latin meaning for the word "tumeo". I formed the word by flipping the letters on "out" and adding the word "me" between the u and o, but in latin, it means: "to puff up, swell / to be pompous", kinda... interesting... I guess.
Well, not much else, another week of school gone, about 5 weeks left. Now I'm going to take a nap.(ps-Em, I finally changed it)
