Belt Pictures (Bad Photographer)

    I apologize in advance, these pictures were taken by Mr. Robert Potter II, so his skills are a little lacking in the camera department. Pictures of me wearing my new black belt, for my mom!

    

    So there we go, my shiny new belt and all that jazz. Not too much else going on. Working, thinking about cleaning my room, thinking about making LEGO movies, thinking a lot about Léia coming up on December 10th.

    Oh yeah, on my belt you can see my name and the 2 stripes (meaning 2nd degree). On the other side is Eccl. 9:10. It is a verse I found while in Brazil on my first mission trip. The "full" verses that I found interesting are actually Ecclesiastes 9:7-11. But, 9:10 is "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with they might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest". Yeah, that's King James version, so all old english and what not. Part in bold is what really caught my attention in this verse.

Spammers & 14-year old gun runner

    EarthLink said it has received more than $200 million in judgments from spam-related cases since 1996. Man.. what are they doing with that money. I think it should be given back to the customer, as they are the ones suffering!! Of course, that is just judgments, which means they probably aren't actually getting that much, but still!!

    A 14-year old girl was caught trying to sell guns, it appears. She had 2 revolvers, a Mac-10 and a machine pistol. Also:

One solution put forward by Superintendent Logan is the US initiative of "street pastors". Under the American scheme volunteers from local churches, wearing overtly religious clothing, patrol crime hotspots. The report claims that black males aged between 13 and 19 are less likely to commit crime if they know a pastor is around.

    That's right, I tricked you. Most of you thought I was dead, since I never posted after the test, but I'm NOT dead, I'm alive. Muh hahahahahahahaha. Yep, that is the whole reason I haven't posted in a long time, really!!

    Ok, I need to talk to my friends in Norman about A-kon. What's the plan, yo? I'll try and get some messages sent to you explaining a few more details, but we should probably get the ball rolling on this one.

    I did pass my 2nd degree black belt test. Brian Bryan, Art Trail and E. Taylor are over in Singapore and Maylasia right now. This means I won't actually get my belt until Brian gets back around the 23rd. I'll try and post pictures and such when this happens.

    I've got the ball rolling on a script for explaining Newton's 3 laws with the use of LEGOs. Hopefully I can get it put together and make a decent little "film". Making it for that crazy Coach and Science teacher in Lubbock, TX. Who knows, maybe I'll actually get it done before the end of this year.

    I've been teaching a ton of karate (actually, tae-kwon-do). It's been going really well. Elementary age group can be rough though.
