Been a good week

Hey Jen, did you catch Alias tonight? Awesome episode!! I was lost a few times since I just started watching the show this season. There's so much I've missed during the first two seasons and now all the events are confusing me.

So it has been a good week. I got my coffee production paper back and received a B+. I am quite happy with that. For this class I'm only 2% shy of an A... so hopefully I can make up for it on my oil paper and the final exam. That oil paper though.... so much reading... *sighs* Speaking of oil, today NBC News reported how Californians are complaing how expensive gas is (about $2.40). Well, other countries pay much more like Britain ($5.05), Norway ($4.54), and Canada ($3.23). Californians are also driving SUVs and trucks... no wonder gas is expensive!! So now the BC government wants to drill for offshore oil, which is why I'm doing this assignment. I think we should all boycott the big cars and drive small ones like the Potters... problem solved.

The real problem is price gouging on the part of the big oil conglomerates.

I think we should abandon the internal combustion engine in favor of something better, like hydrogen or methane.

Oh well.

ps. it doesn't sound too preachy, so don't worry, jay :P

Actually, it's not really the big oil companies, but rather the governments that tax them so heavily, if they didn't receive such high taxes, they wouldn't be charging as high prices.
Yeah, if a technology comes around that is more efficent than the internal combustion engine then it should definatly be used, the new hybrid cars are a start.

I agree with Jon. Jason, look at Petro-Canada... they breakdown of all the cost. They only make 2% profit. This is the same everywhere else.

I'm not talking about Gas stations, I'm talking about the huge oil conglomerates that produce the oil, like OPEC. Yes, there are a lot of taxes on gas, but the taxes remain constant, they aren't creating the huge fluctuations in the price.

Yeah I caught Alias, it was a great episode, but sigh I new that the mom was going to be wicked the moment I saw her.
Small cars are great and SUVS represent the waste of America money and brains
