Remembrance Day

Just wanted to express my gratitude to the war veterans who fought in WWI, WWII and the Korean War. Without you, we would probably live in a world ruled by samurais, as well as Hitler's and Mussolini's grandkids... oh and Kim Jong Il too. How twisted would that be???

And many thanks for those Canadian peacekeepers who are deployed around the world to make the world safer.

Nice entry Jay ;)

It's important that we remember and give thanks for the sacrifices made by young men, some younger than we are now, in the cause of freedom and justice, in defense of their nation. Whatever your political stripe or your feelings on war, show respect to the vetrans who bled on foreign soil, and to the fallen comrades they lost there. They answered the call of their nation and laid down their lives, and that deserves to be honored.

Remember also the terrible cost of war that they personally suffered, and that war is not something to be entered into lightly.

Freedom isn't free
