I'm 2 months away from graduating, and so stepping up my networking to secure a job for late August the earliest. Yesterday I met with a stockbroker in mining through a friend... he said I should use my strengths and pursue Vancouver based mining companies in China. He also reassured me there is a niche for me in mining despite the fact I'm not geologist.
Yeah... getting sick of hearing that but also reassuring. It's been frustrating because all mining jobs advertised are for geologists, engineers and some sort of technical based skills. Today another contact gave me a name for a company looking for someone with my background...
This is turning into a fulltime job... too much researching, emailing and talking, and no time for homework and research job. This sucks...
