I been really bad about updating so I will try to post a bit more...
As usual, this past weekend I made my way back to Vancouver to visit Andrea and the family. Spent most of Saturday shopping with my mom and also took her out to a dim sum restaurant for lunch. That night Andrea and I met up with our friend, Dawn, in downtown for coffee and to discuss Ottawa since that is where she is from and was trained as a teacher there. So far I think teaching opportunities for Andrea won't be as bad as we thought... we will probably also rely on another contact who is a teacher there.
The other thing I did in Vancouver was to pick out a writing sample to send to SFU and Carleton... I will be mailing them out on Monday.
Not much else happened... we also bought a homeless girl in downtown a sandwhich as we were waiting for Dawn. Never really done that before. Then Sunday morning as we were walking around the neighbourhood a 80yr old grandma came out to ask us for help because her basement was flooded... tis the season to be giving and helping.
