As most of you have already heard, I am engaged! Last Saturday, Andrea and I went out for a romantic dinner at the Red Door Pan Asian Grill and afterwards went to the Queen Elizabeth Park (first time for me) where I proposed in front of the water fountain display. She was excited that I finally popped the question after harassing me about it.
So the wedding will be in Halifax, but we're not sure when it will be. This will depend on where I do grad school. If I accepted to Carleton in Ottawa, then we will wait till I graduate in 2010 because I will be busy in the summer doing co-op with the feds. If I stay in Vancouver with the SFU program then it may be 2009 summer. Right now we are both hoping I'll get accepted to Carleton.
Not much else going on. I am waiting to hear whether my job contract will be renewed which will depend on government budget after end of fiscal year. In any event, I am pretty sure I will be making a trip to Taiwan in April for 2-3 weeks, with about 4-5 days in South Korea where I will go on a 1 day tour of the Demilitarized Zone and the rest backpacking on my own.
I was busy as an extra in the upcoming Tekken movie in 2009, and this is nothing compared to your engagement! Congrats! You're really moving forward with your life. I can't believe you beat us both. I bet Fish will take forever :)
