Yes, I am still alive. I think the last time I updated was right before I flew down to Vancouver and drove back up with Andrea. So below are some pictures from the 4 day drive.
Last few months have been busy with work... and will only get busier til December. 2 business trips to Calgary coming up and we just officially became the new AECOM (Architectural and Engineering Company), which only means one thing: GLOBAL! We are now present in over 80 countries in cities like Rio de Janiero, Caracas, New York, LA, Dallas, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Canberra, Bangkok, Dubai, Almaty, Riyadh, Cairo, and yes, even Baghdad and Kabul. A co-worker is already looking at getting transferred to the UK. As for my personal ambitions, Andrea and I made a short-list of places we want to be transferred to after I put my 3 years in: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Beijing, or Dubai. There's also Washington DC, Virginia, Bangkok or Almaty if I am qualified to join the rogue International Development group... I doubt it.
Anyways, here are some pictures we took on our way up north in August.

Wish I knew where this was - most of the drive was in the mountains, so hard to tell. I'm pretty sure this was in southern half of BC.

Just some of the few wildlife we saw... this was near the Yukon-BC border - perhaps the most exotic place I've ever been in North America (still not anything like the mountains in Laos, especially the drive between Vang Vien and Luang Prabang).

This is the Liard River Hot Springs about 30mins away from the Muncho Lake Resort... we drove just the half day and took the afternoon off enjoying this.

This is Muncho Lake, where we stayed for the night...

Here's Andrea posing in front of the new Canon DSLR I bought just a few days before. You can see behind her the resort we were staying in.

Lastly, here are some bisons just past Muncho Lake where they roam the streets. The night before we were here a truck carrying 5 passengers hit a bison at 3am, and that morning a Cherokee's front-end was completely totaled from hitting a bison.
Well, that's it for now... hopefully I'll pick up the slack and update more often. Until next time...
