Wedding

It's 8:20am, sitting here at the library at school... feel so not motivated to write... and it is due next morning. So... that pretty much sums up how I feel.

Went to Jason's wedding yesterday with Andrea. It was good. As usual, everyone loved her. This is my third wedding in a third country. There was one in Mae Sot, Thailand, then Dallas, Texas, and Abbotsford, BC. Hmmm.... maybe the fourth one in Brazil??? ;) Juuuuust kiiiddddiiiinnnnggg!!!!!!!!

I will post some pictures when someone volunteers to write my papers.

Came home after that... started daydreaming. Still am really... about possible trips I'm going to do after graduating in August (if I don't get a job by then): Brazil, Taiwan, Thailand, China & Burma.

Now, what to do about this paper...

Papers

Boooya! Second straight paper with an A!

Now if only I can do just as well on my exams. One exam was B+ and other midterm almost failed.

All the coffee drinking working so far... still working my ass off to raise my marks to 3.33... all for this at UBC:

Intelligence

One nice thing about almost completing your degree is the freedom to apply for any job you want...

So in addition to the mining job in China and the Emergency Planner positions I have already applied to, I will be submitting my CV for the Foreign Language Intelligence Analyst position in the nation's capital, Ottawa.

I meet all the requirement so here goes nothing.

Me a Geologist

"Bilingual Geologist (English / Mandarin) required by Vancouver based public company (Silvercorp) to assist with mineral exploration and development projects in China."

Vague... but I applied to this job ad on Thursday and hopefully will hear something from them. Definately not a geologist, but I do have experience in mining exploration programs and know Mandarin. But really more interested in the development projects...

They got mines in Yunnan province and Tibet.... TIBET!!!

More Caca

Susan just told me she got the Bangkok job that I helped her apply to. She is graduating in April in International Development, and will work in Thailand with refugees at a NGO... Congratulations Susan!!

Thailand was where we met and she's beaten me to graduating and finding a REAL job.

This is caca... I should be finishing in April and not August.

Caca

I am exhausted playing this game with SFU. I got a few assignments back and so far not bad, B+ and A- for test and paper. The other big test I will get back next week, which isn't looking so good. 50% class average so far.

Anyways, I am burnt out from school... being pressured to raise marks by UBC from 3.0 to 3.33. So far so good... could be better, but I won't compain if I keep getting same grades. The Japanese Political Science is draining me... too intense. So much for an easy elective course.

March is caca. It is last month of semester and everything is due. So on average 2 papers due every week on top of presentations and another test. Mother of all papers is 25 pages...for stupid Political Science. CACA I say... total CACA.

After exams in April going to Victoria with Andrea and will probably fly to Taiwan. April - not so caca. :)

(Caca is Spanish for those of you unfamiliar).
