Bomb Threat during Exam

I wrote my last 3 exams in 36 hrs over last 2 days... how I came up with a crappy schedule like that I have no clue.

While writing my last exam, security came into the room to tell us to clear the room in 45 minutes. No reason was given, just told us to go. It wasn't until I came home that I found out an anonymous caller had called SFU with a bomb threat. Cops were naturally called in after that and a sweep was made on campus... false alarm.

So exams are done, the semester is done. Got 3 papers back A, B+ and B... a bit all over the place. The long paper will be mailed as Kawasaki is still marking them. I don't feel good about Natural Hazard exam - good chance failing it... so still nervous about the final grade.

Off to Victoria for the weekend to visit Andrea's sister and check out the new house. Maybe post some pics when I get back.

Canucks vs Stars

8 years after moving to Vancouver, I finally get the playoff match I wanted: Canucks vs Stars!

This is an awesome city, except for the hockey team who are over-rated. To borrow Don Cherry's line "I've said it before and I'll say it again:" the Canucks are not as good as the city thinks!!

My loyalty lies with the Stars. Shut down the Sedin twins... create traffic in front of Luongo and Stars will be fine.

My prediction - Dallas in 7 games. I will be glued to the TV.

Auto Show & Korean Restaurant

Felt so good to finish my long paper Thursday... Andrea also finished her last 2 on Wednesday. All papers are now done and exams start this week.

We celebrated by going to the Auto Show on Friday afternoon. That night we had Andrea's going away party because she quit her job as an English teacher at a private Korean ESL school. A bunch of other teachers and some of the students came out with us to a Korean restaurant (FOOD WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!)

Only able to take 4 pictures before my battery died at the Auto Show. I took this with my new Canon A710 IS camera... stupid case they gave me couldn't fit backup AA batteries. Anyways, here's a Lotus for you.

So this is Andrea, which I believe is the first time I posted a picture of her. We been dating for almost half a year now and it has been great... she's quite amazing. She can also speak Mandarin too (from living in China for 2 years)... my mom and everyone else says she speaks better Mandarin than me. Anyways, she pretty much did all the ordering... I mean she better know all the Korean dishes since she's worked with Korean students since living in China. It was DELICIOUS!!!

Contrary to what one might assume from this picture... I'm really not scared of her. Really...

3 days remaining

Bah, papers are stressing me out. Most of them are written, except this last one for political science: 25 pages on Japan.

The others are done and worried about what the grades will be since they are worth 30%-40% of the semester grade. I did pretty bad on one and just stopped writing at 3AM. The first round of papers I did well... all A's, but were only worth 10%-15%... so really they don't count.

So now I have to wait till exams on 18th to get them back. Frustrating because it does not take TAs a month to grade them. And now having a hard time with this big one... Really sick of this! But hey, 3 days left til classes end.
