I am now in Prince George after a 9 hr drive yesterday, and I gotta say I am not impressed with the snow this morning. And yesterday I drove through snow, hail, rain and the sun.
2 years ago around this time I don't recall driving through winter conditions to PG, it was instead sunny and warm!
Anyways, off to Fort Nelson today, about 11 hrs. We'll see how things go on the road. My CRV has summer tires so will be quite cautious.
I am driving to Whitehorse on Tuesday, which will take me 4 days where I will be staying with a friend in Prince George Tuesday night, then Fort Nelson on Wednesday, Watson Lake the next day and finally get to Whitehorse on Friday.
I will also be renting a house owned by one of the guys in the office for the month of May. It would be nice to keep renting but unfortunately he already found tenants to move in after June. So in May I will keep looking for a new place.
Not much else to say - this move is finally sinking in. Unlike my previous moves to Thailand, Prince George and Victoria, this one will be permanent instead of 4-6 months. I know I won't be too far, only 2.5 hr flight to Vancouver, but will still be sad that I am further away from home.

I am now back in Vancouver, returned early from Taiwan on Monday because I have a bunch of things to do before moving.
This past week Andrea and I bought a 1998 Honda CRV and a brand new 2008 Toyota Corolla (at 0% financing - pretty sweet). I will take the CRV with me to Whitehorse on April 29th and Andrea will drive up August after she graduates from the education program. Of course before I go, I have to learn how to drive standard since both vehicle are like that.
So now I am selling my '95 MX3, showing it to my friend David today so hopefully don't have to worry about it next weekend.
Also working this week for the Ministry to help them out - why am I working the week before my 3-4 day drive to the Yukon? I have no clue.
Gotta go... have a ton of pictures to post. Might have to wait till I move, we'll see.
Just a quick update with my iPod touch at the Vancouver airport, boarding my flight in one hour to Taiwan. Back in 10 days and will be moving to Whitehorse end of April. Busy month!
