Driving, Driving, Driving

I am so glad to be out of the car and relaxing in my own chair.Laura, the boys and I enjoyed our visit to Great Grandma Smith's and I think she enjoyed having us there though she is probably recovering from our noise and constant activity.Laura and I cut a lot of bushes back and had quite a pile once they were deposited in the front yard to be collected by the city.Yes, Laura did work in the hot sun and cut and carried branches and other "stuff" to the drop off spot. She has gotten ruff and tuff with motherhood and teaching!!Laura also steam cleaned several rooms where various animals have had accidents!!(You know who you are!!) Hopefully there will be no more accidents and if so the owners will bring diapers or whatever next time.Lots of fun seeing Great Grandma playing with Kyle and C. J. We did have a grand time and hope to visit again in October ( That is , Kyle and C.J.) We did meet Sarah and Leah and took a picture of all the great grand children and I will try and get that picture posted soon.We visited 2 parks while in Batesville, Kyle was thrilled with feeding the ducks and playing on the equipment, especially the train.I'm at home for a little while until the next 'road trip'.

Back from Camp

Jonathan, Emily and I are just beginning to recover from the week of camp in Brownwood, Texas. It was HOT and we had to use lots of sunscreen and drink loads of water. We eventhough exhausted, had a wonderful time working with the campers directing games throughout the week.Emily directed archery and Jonathan worked with mostly lanyard making during the camper's free time............I ran around judging various individual competitions. We were busy from 8am to 10:30pm almost every day.I'm driving once again tomorrow as I head to McKinney for Laura and the boys to bring them back to Tulsa and then drive to Arkansas so Great Grandmother Smith can see CJ for the first time.I think I'm going to get a trailer so I can just take a break whenever I feel like resting as long as I seem to be constantly on the road!!!Hope to put some pictures on the site eventually.

R & R

Emily and I have been resting and relaxing the past 2 days....at least some of the time between shopping and working in the yard.Emily is at the hospital today and Jonathan is involved with some sort of animation convention in Dallas, so it's been quiet here, especially since Laura and family went home.I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits with my grandsons and Laura and John and miss them.Kyle is growning up too fast and Christopher is cooing and smiling...great stuff.Jonathan, Emily and I will be off to camp next Friday for the entire week baking in the Texas heat!Got to get the yard in order before we leave as Robert will be in charge while we are gone.......hum...........check in with you later.
