Where does the time go?

Today was another fast paced day.Emily and I had to visit the grocery store as supplies were low.I needed to mail some items to Laura so off to FedX then on to the dollar store for some prizes for the kids in AWANA.Next was a visit to Target for a baby gift for Emily's friend, Crissy who had a baby girl last Tuesday. On to the mall to make adjustment on our Cingular plan and to eat lunch as we were famished! Our last stop was to Walmart for cat food and misc "stuff".After a short break, I washed Emily's car while she made some address labels for my MOM.Now, I am going to study the lesson for AWANA council time as soon as I get off the computer.I need to clean house before leaving for Arkansas on Thursday.Already, tomorrow is filled with chores! The cats are in and out with today's warmer temperatures.Last night I woke to Robert's loud snorning and the cat's soft snoring......I left for another bed!!!

Cats, clothes and clutter

I am off a day due to the holiday yesterday.Seems like Monday and so I'm doing Monday chores.Lots of clothes to wash along with bedding and such.I'm trying to clear some of the clutter but that is almost overwhelming. The cats want in and out,in and out with the temperatures dropping......The old cat wants to be around my head at night which keeps me awake worse than Robert's snorning!!My weekends are filling up quickly with Bible Quizzing and AWANA Games scheduled most weekends through the First of April.I hope to drive back to Arkansas and Texas sometime between events.I miss the Grandsons as it has now been several weeks since we were in Texas!Yes, I do miss Laura and John also but they are not Kyle and CJ.So you ask, what about Jennifer and Rene.....I don't feel the same pull to visit Lubbock!!I don't know what I'll do once Emily is married and living who knows where....guess my car will do even more traveling.Got to get to my laundry and stufffffffff.....

winter in Tulsa

Returned from Arkansas on Tuesday evening to overcast skys and mist. Winter in Tulsa is dreary and unpredictable. My mother is doing well and spirits are up despite the cold and wet days in Arkansas. We did manage to clean house and get bills paid and Christmas decorations packed away. Also contacted a service for the blind and the lady visited mother yesterday and evaluated her situation. She is ordering a recorder and tapes so that mother can listen to books on tape through the agency.I hope this will help to fill her days and occupy her mind.I'm researching lighted magnifying glasses to find a better one than what she has presently. The house in Tulsa was and is in need of attention after Emily and I were gone for the week.I'm still catching up with everyday needs and maybe will be finished by early next week.I have coaches training for the Tulsa area tomorrow for the Sparks A Rama events in March.I've also got to get to the sewing projects for Laura--though I did sew the bibs while at mothers. ON and On and on......

Back to NORMAL??

Grandpa Potter left for Ocean Springs, Mississippi this morning...hope he finds warmer and milder weather conditions. Emily is in College Station, Texas visiting with Kane and family and working out wedding plans of various sorts. Robert went back to WORK....YEA!!!!! Jonathan slept until this afternoon so it was just me and the cats this morning. I did manage to work out at the Y this morning which felt remarkably GOOD after the holidays. I've been cleaning house all day...sorting through "stuff", vacuuming, dusting, laundry etc. I thought I'd get some rest but that is a passing thought. I'll be driving to Arkansas on Thursday to check on my mother and to do some "chores" around the house and yard and whatever task needs doing.....It is all quiet here with everyone away and I've had the TV on for noise. Lots of work left to do around the house. AWANA begins again on Wednesday so have to get things together for that.... Anyway never a dull moment.....
