I am alive

Some of you may be wondering why I haven't posted recently.I've just been busy almost everyday since returning to Tulsa from Arkansas and Texas.I've been sanding,preping,painting and topcoating the hood on Jonathan's Geo as it was in terrible shape.Hopefully, it will be ready to put back on his car tomorrow if all goes well.Also I've been rearranging furniture and cleaning, sorting and pitching all sorts of "stuff" all over the house.I've been cleaning flower beds and tending to shrubs and flowers and trees in the front and backyards.Lots of work in keeping up this house and the yards.The westeria is completely covering and taking over the arbor.I now have shade and can sit in my swing and read and or relax.The pond is completely covered with lilypads and lovely flowers.I will need to clean the pump today.The waterfall is to be reworked again...where are you Emily!I find that as usual there are not enough hours in a day to get everything crossed off my list.I am reading Angels and Demons by Brown and find it interesting..afterall it is fiction so don't get huffy about the story.Otherwise, there is nothing on TV of interest and I'm beginning to miss Emily more than I care to tell.Robert has purchased yet another computer which caused some fireworks but we are talking and trying to get along since there is no one else around with which to converse!! So, will try and post some pictures if and when I can remember how to post pictures!!Once again where is Emily!! Catch you later....Sue

The house is unusually quiet !

Robert is out of state and Jonathan is in Stillwater to help give a black belt test to some unsuspecting soul.Anyway, I'm alone and somewhat unsettled as a result.It has been some time since the house was this quiet and it's uncomfortable.I have the tv playing and the waterfall splashing...Punch is sleeping on a quilt on the back of the new sofa.This will take some adjustment.I have started another book and may actually get to read every day!I've been sorting through boxes and rearranging the rooms and making areas for this and that.I'll be driving to McKinney Thursday with Punch, plants, aquarium,some boxes for Emily and odds and ends.Laura and I will drive to Arkansas so that my mother can see Kyle, CJ and Laura.It's been about a year as this is the between time that Laura is free to travel.Emily seems to be in a frenzy trying to get the apartment together and to attend the orientation for the hospital and to adjust to marriage!!Kane and Emily will have an adventure as they adjust to marriage and jobs and lots of responsibilities.Guess I'd better close and feed the fish in the pond.I'll check in later...............

A Week Later!

This has been a week of "clean sweep" as Laura has completely boxed all remaining belongings in Emily's old room.Emily can now sort through boxes as she has time and energy.Laura also boxed a few remaining items that belong to Jennifer....so I have 2 new guest rooms.Laura and I also shopped for a new sofa and computer desk to complete the makeover of my family room.Looks like I lost a daughter and gained 3 new rooms!!This week has been busy as Laura is a slave driver once she is on a mission.We have looked at all the furniture stores in Tulsa over the week.We also have discovered that Albertsons and Walmart will give you free boxes if you ask.I will post some pictures of the new rooms and furniture for you to see.

We are celebrating the 4th with grilling and fun and rest! Emily will post pictures once thay get back from the "Honeymoon".I have only a few but the video taken by John turned out great.
