Hot again

Sure did enjoy the cooler weather during the week of rain...now back to hot and dry.Been working in the yard once the ground dried.I have to work in the mornings or late afternoon as it just gets scorching during the middle of the day.Finished the shirt for Kyle and will see if it fits before I make anymore.Will be driving to Texas on Thursday and probably back on Monday.AWANA will begin in 2 weeks so Robert and I will be busy trying to get the T & T program underway.I've been steamcleaning the carpets and thinking about moving furniture around once again...groan from Robert and Jonathan.Watching the Little League World Series...nothing else on TV.Got to get to sorting the books in the Library so we can rip out that carpet and put in flooring.Lots to do, so little time.

The Backyard

Caught this dragonfly resting on a stem yesterday while feeding the fish.

Today has been one of those long, lazy days but still busy. Jonathan and I went shopping for this and that and found "stuff" for both of us and some food along with college supplies and sewing items. I visited Lowes and just walked up and down the aisles looking... I hope to sew the rest of the day but something always gets in the way. I'll see how far I get on my project. Jonathan is still sorting through all the junk in his room. Robert is napping which is his favorite activity on the weekends other than playing final fantasy. I'm watching the Little League World Series as nothing else is on the tube. Got to get on that project.....

The HOT days of summer

It is definitely HOT in Tulsa this month and probably into next month.It is also time to weed flower beds and think about what may be my next backyard project.I need to finish my other projects but I do like to think about new things.I'm trying to clear the garage so that I can work on getting the refinishing completed on the headboard and footboard...a long standing project.Then I need to decide about the chair that needs refinishing...etc.Jonathan is gathering "stuff" to take back to OSU and the house is in disarray once again.Jonathan also now sees the need to visit the dentist and chiropractor before leaving for school....nothing like waiting until the last minute!Tomorrow is another day!!Emily passed her nursing exam and is now officially an RN...that is fantastic news!!Jennifer and Rene are in the midst of house shopping...agony.Laura is back to school and is glad that the first week with students is almost over.I have a list a mile long for tomorrow and need to get off the computer...Later
