This has been one of those weeks where you find yourself wondering if you just should have stayed in bed.Grandpa Potter and I found out that he has glaucoma and we add eye drops to his ever growing list of medications!Apparently grandpa has had an unusual kind of glaucoma that doesn't show an adnormal pressure reading, so is easily missed unless you study the optic nerve. After several tests,we find that the macular degeneration in the left eye is considerable and the right is slight.....on and on.Otherwise, he is keeping up with his exercises and walks almost everyday.I started back to my sewing projects and sew off and on as I can.Activities and projects will be more intense as the weeks pass and I feel a certain amount of stress beginning! If we can Emily through the court date on January 31st,we can all breath a little easier.Keep her in your prayers as we know that this judge will have the power to dismiss the charge and hope that he will be able to think clearly and correctly.God is still in control but this has been a long, painful process prolonged by a mean, revenge driven prosecutor in a small "good ole boy" area....She will meet with her lawyer on the 26th to go over the case and her testamony if needed. Otherwise progress is being made on the plans for the house in McKinney though without the girls,I'd be in a mental hospital by now! So much to do, so little time......
Seems like 2005 zoomed by and I'm still not caught up and probably never will be!I drove to Arkansas last weekend end to check on my mother. She is still active and had a list of things that she needed and wanted completed while I was visiting. We shopped and bagged leaves and cleaned house etc.I enjoy visiting my mother as she continues to be an inspiration...going strong at 89! Grandpa Potter had a check up on his pacemaker on Tuesday. It is functioning and doing the intented job. They checked his medications and blood levels and seemed to want to change some of the meds but will wait until this need week's testing results. We visited the eye doc to check on something or other and will get the results next week.I think Grandpa is wondering just where we'll take him next as we are testing everything from head to foot!Robert and I have AWANA coaches training for the AWANA games in March tomorrow. The major AWANA events are AWANA games and Bible Quizzing. We will be busy in Feb and March.I find that my days are over before the jobs are finished and I get a little further behind each day...hope to begin catching up with projects if I can stay in Tulsa for 2 weeks straight.Got to go as Jonathan and I are going to the movies........Later
