I'ts been an interesting several weeks with travels to Arkansas and Texas and now back to Oklahoma.I was in Arkansas visiting my mother and taking care of her needs as she had a cold.We had a good visit with my nieces (Leah and Sarah) and their children and husbands one of the days and generally just talked.I left mother to drive back to Tulsa to get clean clothes and left 2 hours later for Texas. My son in laws's mother could not baby sit the boys as her mother was in the hospital...so I was called upon to pitch in and help for the week.I enjoyed my stay with Laura and family but needed to get back to Tulsa.Emily and I drove back to Tulsa together as she was helping a friend with wedding plans. Then back to Texas for the second week as Grannie was still in the hospital! Now it is Monday and I've recoved from the 2nd week and have so much to do here in this house and in the yard.I bought 8 bags of cypress mulch to cover my flower beds and wouldn't you know that it poured rain today!!There is always tomorrow!!Robert has only this week and he will officially retire from oil company employment and take a break before beginning employment as a consultant. We will see what happens at the Potter household with Robert here 24/7!!! Will keep you informed...........Later
Today has been lovely with mild temperatures and lots of blooming trees and bushes.I will try and enclose a picture or two later tonight. The Lilac is blooming for the first time since transplanting it from the farm in Arkansas. The Westeria is blooming abundantly! Lots of sweet fragrances in the air.I'm trying to kill the weeds in the yard but so far, Nothing is working! The tulips bloomed but the storms over the weekend destroyed almost all of them.I'm sewing on some comforters for the grandsons and have fabric covering the floor in the "living room" area.Lots of measuring and cutting...hope to sew tomorrow.Grandpa and I have doctor appointments Tuesday for eyes and Wednesday for general check-up.I have a dental appointment to have a tooth reworked..seems like maybe there is decay under the cap!!!Loads of FUN :( !!!I plan to drive to Arkansas on Thursday after my dental procedure and will return on Monday or Tuesday. I want to check on yard work for my mother and maybe see my grandniece that I haven't held yet and she is 4 months old.Lots of work to do around the house including painting the exterior and tending to the yard.It will take several months to work through all the "stuff" that needs yet to be sorted and hauled off or WHATEVER!! Yes, Rene I am trying to get motivated to go through the rest of my "Junk".Hope all of you are healthy and happy that spring is here and maybe we can all get outside and enjoy the cooler temperatures before the heat of late spring!!!
