Preparations for foundation continue -- cement truck standing by and waiting....they are working fast to get the Potters to Texas. Not quite sure why all the plastic --- I know what the rebarb is for but..... First time we went by today they had the workers doing this and the result was everything covered up. A green crane like cement truck was standing by. See picture below. Next time we come, we should only see cement.
Looks like summer is here early in Oklahoma. It was 97 in the shade and early this morning during my jog around the park, I was sweating and for me to sweat, it was warm!Anyway this weekend we'll be driving to Hot Springs Arkansas to spend some Potter family time together before the Smith reunion and Grandma Smith's 90 birthday bash on Sunday. We've been planning for weeks and have the Tshirts, presents and decorations ready.I hope my mother is pleasently surprised and thrilled that her family is honoring her in this way. Will post pictures and rememberances when we return......
Plumbing and Electrical --- getting set and hooked up...next step...foundation!
Robert, Grandpa and I returned from Lubbock on Monday afternoon (7 hour drive) after spending a long weekend with Jennifer. It was an adventure as we shopped the local mall and drove here and there around Lubbock. We also got to see most of Rene's family as they spent the night on Saturday after a relative graduated from Texas Tech...11 adults and 2 children!!Loads of FUN.Anyway, we did enjoy our visit with Jennifer and Salvador (Rene had to fly to Dallas on Friday for a couple of weeks).I got to see Jennifer's school and church. Now that we are once again in Tulsa, there is so much work to do in the yard.I've been away far too long and things have gotten out of control.I've been working on the sprinklers in the side yard and finally have them operating correctly. we had to trim back 4 of our crape myrtles as about a third of the branches died over the winter.I am resting before starting on the westeria....that's another story altogether!!! Laura, John and the boys are driving here for the weekend so we'll get some shopping in and also the boys can romp in the backyard. Guess that's about all for now.....
