Drove up to Tulsa on Friday to check on the pond, house and to visit Jonathan.Laura gave us a scare but so far all is well.....Jonathan and I spent some time trying to get the big pump to operate and finally it did pump for a few hours before shorting out the system. So, back to the drawing board and I have it here in McKinney to have it checked to see if it can be salvaged.I trimmed the shrubs and cut back the Rose of Sharon and weeded the flower beds. The place looks good for the moment.Hopefully, the house will sale this next month!Of course, Jonathan will be thrown out and will have to find other accommodations once the house does sale!I watched his Combat Team demonstration on Friday night and was impressed with the message along with the Karate moves and breaking of boards and bricks.I also got to visit the newly build Evergreen Baptist Church on Sunday (we met in a school while we were in Tulsa). Then back to McKinney on Sunday afternoon.I'll be here this weekend and off to Arkansas the next weekend to visit my mother. My wheels just keep rolling!!!
It is strange to have Robert here 24/7.I think that HE is enjoying retirement but I miss having the house to myself(at least some of the time).Taking care of Kyle and CJ just seems like a well fitting shoe...I'm comfortable with the process as I've had more than 30 years of experience. My days begin early and there is rarely a dull moment from sun up to sun down. The boys keep me on my toes and in shape as it is a work out just going up and down the stairs!Robert and Grandpa add another layer of responsibilities---I don't have a lot of trouble sleeping! I do find this house a little easier to maintain without carpets. We are slowly filling the house with furniture as time and energy permit.Lots more to do but we have years to get the house just like we want.I'm still waiting for work to begin on the backyard.Awana will soon end and Laura and I can hang up our uniforms for another year! Kyle completes his second year in cubbies shortly and will be with us in Sparks next year.CJ sill begin Cubbies and that seems so unreal but time is passing. We eagerly await Alyssa's arrival though that will turn our world upside down and add a lot of work to our daily schedules.I've been sewing this week trying to get pants and shorts made for the boys and scrub pants made for Emily. Then I have some sun dresses to make for Alyssa.Like I said...never a dull moment.Grandpa just had 2 teeth removed today and is getting along remarkably.Seems like something is happening to Grandpa every week!Jonathan is watching the house for us until it sales, hopefully soon. I'll try and post more often but seems like the unexpected happens in our family somewhat normally.Lets see what the next few days will bring.....
