What's going on with SUE??? Mostly, taking care of the grandkids. My day usually begins around 6:00am. I get out of bed and get dressed, fix coffee and toast, read the paper and drive to Laura's arriving between 6:45 and 7:00am. Laura and I discuss the days events and off she drives to Plano to begin another teaching day. Alyssa will be up and about before the boys so I change her and get her dressed and fix breakfast. We head upstairs by 7:45 to wake up the boys---she really likes this part!----and sometimes crawls over them and pokes them until they recognize that sister is all over them. The boy try to get their eyes open while I'm pushing them to the bathroom.CJ still needs a little help in picking out clothes and getting dressed but Kyle can complete this task with little help. They amble down the stairs for breakfast. We talk about the schedule for the day while they eat. We go back upstairs for teeth brushing and CJ's daily meds and breathing treatment. By 8:30 we are out the door sometimes carrying socks and shoes and putting on jackets. Into the car and on to Vega Elem where we drop off Kyle with Good By's and waves and blow kisses......On Monday, Tues, Thursday We proceed to the church to drop off CJ at preschool by 9:00am. Alyssa and I are back to grandma's house by 9:30 to begin our day! Alyssa is down for her nap around 10:30 to 11:30 so I go like mad to get anything accomplished while she naps. She sleeps sometimes 2 hours. Then lunch and play until 1:30 when I pick up CJ from preschool and back to my house by 2:00. Off to get Kyle from Vega by 3:45 and back to grandma's by 4:15!!! After snacks, homework and Bible verses, and now cub scout stuff......until Laura arrives between 4:30 and 5:30 depending on the day. Huggs and Kisses Good By!!!! Now I can begin working on MY Stuff until bedtime.......not a lot of extra time. I do get to work out at the gym with Rene or Laura almost every day and usually take CJ and Alyssa with us to child care while we do weights and cardio.........Kyle comes along on Tues, Thurs and Fridays--Laura and I go after school on those days if we can manage! We have AWANA on Wednesdays so off to the races on that day. Since Laura, Jonathan, Robert and I are all involved in the Kindergarden Sparks program, we usually eat together on Wednesdays. I tell the Bible story, Jonathan does gametime and Laura is in charge of Awards, announcements, paperwork and oversees the program. We all listen to verses and are leaders....we are exhausted by the end of AWANA!!!! This is just part of my week and not a lot of time to sit at my computer so that is why I'm behind in sending pictures and posting messages. I also drive to Arkansas every month to visit mother who at 92 is still insisting that she can live alone and we need to mind our own business!! We are having people come in to clean and more and more to stay with her. Time will tell how long she can continue her independence--we hope as long as possible. That's all for now as my to do list is long and I'm not making much progress in checking things off.
