So finally after two months of searching, putting down bids, filling out paperwork, and the bank messing up paperwork a total of three different times I am now the proud honor of a home. We got the keys today. To be honest it doesn't really feel that real. I will hopefully post some pictures sometimes within you know the next month or two. . .
No seriously because between prepping the house (read painting, fixing the kitchen, maybe tiling, and you know everything else) and teaching and coaching I may not have a spare second the rest of the month.
This weekend I have my first volleyball tournament, yeah... which is an all day afair, booooo. . . So far my teams have not won a single game, sigh... It could be that I am a terrible coach. I am hoping the girls will work hard and pull together over the next couple of weeks and come out ahead.
Next week is the last six weeks of the semester which more or less means a lot of work for me between now and Friday...
So I have a new house and maybe I will get to actually enjoy it between now and October 17th (the end of Volleyball season).
Love to you all

At least volleyball season doesn't last all year long! With middle school kids, you never know --- one week they can't find their hineys and the next they are einsteins....you could have a champion team next week :-)
Posted by: Laura at September 17, 2005 09:13 AMAwesome, yay for having the keys to the house!!! Good luck with all the work you'll have to put into it. Stick in there, just start beating the kids sensless, then put some new sense into them!!!!

Posted by: Jay at September 18, 2005 12:50 AMCongratulations on both the home and the volleyball season. I'm sure you're a great coach. Don't get discouraged. Moving is a lot of work - we just helped Jennifer and Tim move into their first house (in Houston). And I don't know if they will ever get unpacked! She's teaching (middle school band), and with the baby due Nov. 3, I don't konw when things will settle down for them.
