Snow

So the weather in Lubbock is terminally crazy. It snowed here all day Tuesday and we got like 4 inches. But as of Wednesday that snow was all gone and it is now like 60 outside.
Rene is back from his whirlwind trip to breakthrough and new york and is napping on the couch at present. Hopefully we will both be conscious for part of the time that he and I are both in Lubbock.
I am leaving tommorow for McKinney for the baby shower and Kyle's birthday. It would be nice if I had gotten all the knitting and sewing I wanted done. But alas being sick got in the way of a lot of things. So if anybody gets a present of any kind it will be some sort of miracle.
Work is finally calming down. I think the kids have figured out that I am the boss and that if they play by the rules things will get better. So I am actually starting to enjoy it a little bit more.
Other than that life is continuing. I am trying to balance all the things going on inside my head and the things that need to be worked on sometimes successfully, a lot of the time not.
It will be good to see the famiy this weekend so everyone smile I'll see you soon.

Acute Bronchitis

Well so went to the doctor on Monday and got diagnosed with acute bronchitis. Which has meant I have been holed up at home laying on the couch feeling like a big bag of mucus unable to do anything.
Today I finally feel human and am going to try to do the work thing and see if it will kill me or not. I am pretty tired right now but my energy comes in bursts so let's just hope I get an energy high around 3:00 right when the kids get there.
It totally sucks that I got sick now, because I have pretty much been a zombie for the last week and Rene leaves tommorow for some retreats and conferences and won't be back until next Thursday. So much for quality time together.
Valentine's was way romantic what with throwing up and being confined to the couch....
OH well things are looking up because I can breathe for the most part. Although I still can't hear out of my right ear. And that is just annoying....

Getting Sicker

Well what I had hoped would be a restful weekend has turned into me getting sicker and sicker. At present I cannot breath, hear out of one ear, and have that fun rattley cough going on. It's fun. No worries everyone I will be going to the doctor on Monday as soon as I can get in. OH yes and I also threw up yesterday. All around a good time.
So I have been sleeping, watching movies, and trying to get comfortable. And to top it all off, it snowed a lot both Thursday and Friday. Which is okay I guess but means it is cold outside. And both Friday and Saturday there was ugly driving conditions.
Kids were crazy at work on Friday because of being hopped up on sugar and being kept inside because of all the cold and snow. Joy to the world. All around it has been a fun filled, mucus filled, tiring first week. Hopefully things will look up next week and I will have all the energy I need to scream my head off.

So the job....

Okay so when they told me the school was a little out of control. I thought I can handle that, I mean come on everyone in the family has had to handle a few rampuctious kids. But it turns out they meant out of control.... Kids don't listen, lots of fighting. Finally yesterday had to pull out the mean JP voice and get very militant. NO TALKING, NO LAUGHING, AND NO FUN, which of course is no fun for me either. So I figue i am going to have to be a (and excuse the language but it's accurate) hardass for about a week until they figure out I mean business. All this means I've had to put a little more work into work than I thought I was going to have to. Not to mention CPR/First Aid certification yesterday and today for four hours and a nasty chest cold. Wow this has been a fun week.....
Hopefully I will get to rest this weekend, before starting all over again next week. Poor pitiful wizzy, coughing, me....

A Job

Well it has finally happened, in quite the little whirlwind, I have found a job!!!! I applied on Wednesday, was hired today, and start work tommorow. It's a little crazy.
I feel very relieved by all of this. It is definitly one less worry for me to deal with.
So you are probably wondering what this job is. I will be a lead counselor for Y-care an afterschool childcare program through the YWCA. I will be working at a local elementary school here in town. It will basicaly be four hours a day and will pay just above minimum wage. I know that may not seem like much but it seems perfect to me. Time to do other things but still have an extra income doing something I can enjoy.
Plus there are a lot of oppurtunities to advance further and possibly gain some new credentials for childcare in the state of Texas. I am way excited and looking forward to my first day.

Thanks everyone who has been praying and keeping me in your thoughts. I will update you after work tommorow. YEAH!!!
