post spring break blues

Well had a fab spring break, I got to garden, clean and work a little. It was a lot of fun and lots and lots of hardwork. But the good kind where your body feels achey and wants to sleep because you've done physical labor.
Rene thinks I'm crazy because I was prepping my garden squares and wanted to use my compost from the compost pile (which is now dirt but with twigs and stones and stuff) Anyway so I was sifting it to get just the dirt. And Rene thought it was gross but it's just dirt now. Anyway I am hoping garden attempt three works better than garden one or two since the others only produced a little bit we will just have to wait and see.
I am back at work and finally had a good day where kids listened and i acutally laughed. I am feeling pretty good these days. The last couple of years have been a long, hard road but maybe nearing the other side. Here's hoping.... :)

Me and the cookie

So I got this lovely cookie bouqet from mom and the girls. It definitly perked me up. And it tastes good too. Rene is coming home tommorow although I am not sure when because the hasn't told me when the plane gets here. I think I remember he said it would be late.
Haven't done much today just trying to chill and do some needed stuff around the house like dishes and mopping as well as a little bit of sewing. Because of the rain I didn't get a chance to work on my weed infested yard and garden plot.
Sigh the toilet is still broken. I don't think it's going to get fixed. I am tired of it and am just thinking of using twistie ties until they rust through and then using a new twistie tie.
I am hoping to get some much needed process time tommorow and just sit still and think and also maybe get Rosi's doll done, since I was suppossed to have it done forever ago.

Doing okay

Well so far it has been a good week. Sunny every day which means the kids could go outside which they like and means they run off some energy and are a little bit better. It also has turned my eyes to the garden and the lawn and the dead trees.
I am feeling better these days physically and emotionally and that means I start itching to get some stuff done. I would love to prune the trees, plant the garden, and reseed the lawn. But of course I need a good block of time and good weater to do it. We'll see what the weekend holds.
Mom bad news the toilet is broken again. The lower part of the chain is broken now. I give up. For those of you who don't know the toilet hasn't been able to flush by the handle for almost a year. Mom had it working for a week which is longer than anyone else so far.
Okay I am off to sew, spend some time with Jesus, and maybe write some.

Life is more sunny

So the rain has stopped at least for the next couple of days and it is totally beautiful outside. Which is good on many levels. One I really like being outside, I can start thinking about the garden, and I can send the kids outside which means they are usually two or three times better.
I am feeling optimistic today and relaxed ready for the week and whatever comes my way. I have a friend coming in on Wednesday and might hang out with some friends and former students as well. Rene is gone for the week so my social life is expanding.
Well I am going to go cook some broccoli cheese soup.
