Spring Break is over

Well after my whirlwind tour of Texas I have to say it was refreshing if a little tiring to get to see so many friends and family. I am really glad that I got to see my staff friends(from when I was on staff with InterVarsity) in San Antonio. And I got to go to the zoo, something I have been wanting to do for years now but no one else seems to dig it as much as I do. And I got to stay with Julie and meet her boys and that was just very cool. I also got to spend time with my nephews and that was cool too. I feel much more relaxed right now then when I left.
Of course all that could change tomorrow, since I have a track meet and that can be more than a little tiring and stressful but I still feel like this was a really good break and I am glad that we traveled.
Unfortunately Rene is currently feeling nauseous. So I am trying to baby him a little. I gave him dramimine and I think he is getting a little loopey but seems to be feeling better so that's good.
Love to everybody....

Plano or is it Murphy or maybe McKinney

We are now in the lovely DFW metroplex. WE have hung out with the nephews, seen the wedding sight at the botanical gardens, and been spending lots of time with Julie. In fact as we speak Julie and I are talking about old times and she is cooking a lovely meal.
Her boys are very cute and friendly and they played really well with Kyle and CJ. Which is definitly a good thing. I am hoping this will result in play dates for the boys.
The wedding site is beautiful. The gardens are full of color and the wedding should be really beautiful.
It has been good to see the nephews and friends and hang out with Rene but I am very sad that spring break is almost over and I most return to the barren waste land of Lubbock and much teaching and track meets. SIGH!!!!

College Station

Well I am in college station now. Rene and i had a fun day tuesday in san antonio. We went to the San Antonio zoo. Which was fun, a bird tried to eat my earings and that was fun, but more on that later. It was also fun to hang out with friends and just chill. yesterday we went to San Marcos so Rene could make a phone call and then we headed to college station for a night of romance and fun.
It is Thursday around lunch and we are going to eat at Freebird's maybe see some of the campus and then head over to McKinney to see the nephews and mom and grandmom.
Overall the last day has been very relaxing and I am wishing we had more time to just relax in college station. Oh well here's to the continuing pilgrimage.
We will have slept in five beds in five nights, that is a little nuts. Here's to seeing people soon.

San Antonio

Hey everybody. Well it is tuesday second day in san antonio. Rene and I are chilling with a friend named Michelle Blanton. She worked with us for a year in lubbock and we have been good friends ever since. Yesterday we went to El Mercado, a mexican market here in san antonio. It was okay, a little bit disappointing as it reminded me of Acuna, a mexican border town I've been to, just a lot more expensive.
Then we went to the outlet mall at San Marcos, mainly cause Michelle is on staff, and we wanted to get her some new clothes. It was really fun. I wish I had a camera to take some pictures but I left mine at school cause I brought it to take pictures of my classes and stuff.
Anyway today we are suppossed to do something fun, like go to Sea World or one of the other attractions here but I don't know what we are going to end up doing since it is 10:30 and we still haven't decided anything and Michelle and Rene are at the store to get stuff to make omelets.
It is cold and wet here today which also makes any outdoor plans seem less attractive. Oh well I'll let you know how it goes. I am sort of sad not to be there for the boys birthdays but I will be there soon enough with presents so hopefully I won't feel too sad.
Kisses to everyone.

Wow I haven't done this in awhile

Hey so I haven't written anything in my blog for forever. What can I say..... I'm tired.
Today is the first day of spring break and I am super excited about that. I get to see friends and family and not coach or teach for a whole week which is super amazing.
I did manage to leave my camera with pictures of Breakthrough, my classes' guinea pig, and some of my students at school so I can't put them on this site. Whoops...
I have survived my first track meet, barely. It was chaotic and full and luckily didn't last too long.
Did I mention I am really glad it's spring break, I will probably go a little comatosis today and tommorow just to unwind from all the craziness. And then Rene and I are going to San Antonio and then on to Dallas to see the nephews and family and friends.
I will try to update more later. Love to everyone
