Hey all so I have survived yet another 3 week grading period and the TAKS tests andhave sent out my final progress reports of the year. I am ever inching closer to being done with the school year and couldn't be more pleased.
With much drama occurring in the family's lives I am wishing I was near sisters and parents and even little brothers. But its okay because in lubbock right now I have some beautiful flowers going on. But in place of pictures of them I give you COCO PUFF the pimpin' guinea pig.

Coco Puff's fabulous outfit was designed by one of my students who likes art and torturing guinea pigs with dress up. Yeah!!!
So the week of much work is over and so is track season. My girls did mostly okay. And believe it or not the mile came down to a lean, a lean in a distance race that's crazy. Anyway mainly I am just glad it's over and that for the next 7 weeks of school I should have no major after school commitments and might actually get ahead and not feel completely crazy and behind all the time. But we'll see.
I did manage not to get surplased which means I will be returning to the magical world of Hutchinson Jr. High for another year. Yeah, sort of.
I am sick, I think with a minor cold. And have taken it mostly easy today. I just need a day or so to chill but you know the house is wreck, the yard is wreck, and well don't get me started on all the other things that still haven't been done. Let's just say I'm behind. And getting friggin' tired of it.
So hopefully tommorow I will wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to go.
HOPEFULLY

Hey so I have survived so far in this crazy week. Survived being the key word and as you all know no week is complete without its own special share of drama.
This week: Monday we had a meeting at school and found out that 5 teachers from our school will be surplused, which is really just the fancy way of saying let go, laid off, etc. Now the upside of this is that theoritically we all have contracts with the district and our "guarenteed" a job somewhere in the district. Now the downside of this is that the newest teachers are generally the ones that are let go. Funness, just what I want to have to start all over, in a new school, teaching some grade.... Sigh there's really nothing I can do but wait and trust that God knows what He is doing.
Secondly did my evaluation today, think it went well. The principal said I did an excellent job especially for a rookie teacher. But I have heard he is brutal about the evaluations. So who knows, once again just have to trust that God knows what He is doing.
And then the funness of the past two days of track. The girls have done okay, some better and some worse than I thought. But today's drama was the wind was blowing on average 40+ miles an hour for the whole day. And I'm not exaggerating there wind gusts up to 60 mph and the kids had to run into this wind. So you know I am wind burned and have dirt in all of my crevices and am just a little poopped.
Only two more days left in track season. And three more days to get end of 6 week grades in. I can do it. I think I can I think I can I think I can.

So begins the week of insanity. This week is the city track meet. Which means much fun for my girls who get to see how they stack up against the city, but much work for us coaches. We will be working every night this week Monday through Friday. Probably late nights at that. We'll see if I make it through with all my strings attached. I also am perhaps a little insane and planned my evaluation from the principal for Tuesday. But I figure the sooner it's done, that's one less thing I have to worry about. And I have heard pretty universal negative feedback about this principal's evaluations. So you know it's going be bad anyway might as well just take my medicine and move on.
But you know I may end up in tears by the end of the week I'll let you know.
